Why do the show host feel the need to talk over their guests.

I really think it is just nerves.

I agree, I watched a couple yesterday that actually interrupted the guests explaining the items, only to tell you that there were only a couple thousand left in each color, lol. But it seemed ignorant to me.

I see it every time I channel surf. I saw Shawn on last night don't remember what product they were showing but the guy was talking about the product & Shawn just started talking right over him. He did roll his eyes. I changed the channel. I cannot watch the sale channels because the non-stop blabbing drives me crazy. I like the peace & quiet.

I have a feeling they are being directed to interrupt and give updates on the amount sold, so people will call in and buy.

I was watching a Diamonique presentation (around midnight), with CP and Erin(?).  Erin could not get a word in, she sat there smiling and nodding her head, and silent pretty much throughout the whole presentation.  It was annoying (to me), and I did change the channel.🙂

I agree.....and sometimes i think it is just being in the job for so long that they know what the host is about to say so they either jump in to try and give the info first...or they interrupt with uncessary info..............i really don't think it is from the directors/producers (although they may tell them to give

quantity updates)..............but most of the time it is just "talk" instead of pertinant info on the product......"you can wear it here".... 'bring it there"......"take it with you when you..." etc.

Like the other day i was watching Dan Hughes who i do enjoy and even he was interrupting the vendor about the new Christmas decoration he was presenting because he seemed excited about it and didn't let the venodor explain the product................and lately it seems if they aren't interrupting...they are overtalking the vendors..

Today, every time Chaz would start to speak Jennifer Coffey would interrupt him, chatter and tell him to go on, only to interrupt him again.  This went on for a bit before she finally stopped.  It was like a comedy skit, but not funny.

It works both ways. I can't stand to be listening to the host and hear "Get the blue. You're gonna love the blue. The blue is my favorite". But nothing is going to be done to correct. it.

Most of them do, so I can only watch a few  of them.
