I have ordered items that take 5days to ship and then, because I'm in California they take 10 days to arrive. That's too long

ITA!!!

Forgot to add this. When I do order I estimate receiving my purchase in 2-3 weeks.

I'm in CA too, and many items take longer than 10 days to arrive. Orders from companies such as Amazon and Macy's arrive within 3-4 days. Even purchases I make from private sellers on eBay arrive quickly. QVC is the slowest by far.

I placed a small Amazon order on Wednesday (I'm not prime, just regular shipping), and it was in my mailbox when I got home yesterday (Thursday)!

I think Amazon has distribution centers all over the country through, that's why their shipping is faster than almost anyone else. I do agree though that QVC is very slow and this new "fast post", or whatever it's called, that they now use makes it even slower. I for one wish they would ship everything UPS again.

@Silver Fox1 I know. I have a friend who delivers for them!

I have items ordered several days ago that are still "in process" . I ordered items from Amazon much more recently and already have them. Same with Vitacost--get their orders in 1 or 2 days.

The Q's shipping is archaic and been the same for 31 years. It says a lot about a company that just refuses to compete and keep up with the times. It says that they don't care much about servicing their customers.

I live maybe 45 minutes from the QVC studios. It used to be before they moved their distribution centers I would get my shipments within 1-2 days. Now if things ship UPS I still get them fairly quickly but forget about it if it ships via Fed Ex/US Mail (which most do) it takes over a week to receive my shipments and the tracking is never up to date. Adding to the frustration I have had a couple of shipments get lost. Fed Ex transfers them to the US Post office and they seem to fanish.
