I am sick of death of QVC when I finally realize they steal.  I am so sorry you went through the aggravation with QVC.  I paid 46.74 for boots and $11.23 was taken coming & going.  Why do they charge customers TWICE to return???  I read one reply that says this is a "restocking fee", a term QVC claims they don't do, but they do and they did.  I called a rep and she agreed.  What a bunch of monsters!  They're no better than the banking industry.  They will steal from you every chance they get and in the end, we, the consumer, are NOT getting a Today's Special Value.  We're getting a Today's Special Ripoff!!!!

With todays competition,I think QVC should reconsider their shipping charges. Some of the most famous vendors, today, have free shipping. It certainly makes it more desirable to purchase something of the same quality at the same price, without the shipping charges.I am a good customer and probably will remain so,but as I said...it would be nice for the powers that be to consider more reasonable shipping,as other merchants have!!

I recently ordered an embellished top that arrived in a wadded up mess in the corner of a huge plastic bag. The $3.00 shipping is fine, but treating the product like it is worthless is not what I expect. And if I use the return shipping label, they keep 6.95 of my refund. I called to question this and was told the $6.95 is a courtesy to help with insurance and tracking, etc. Courteous would be not to make money off return fees. One thing QVC banks on is the excessive return costs will cause many to just keep a product they don't want...and I see that posted all the time so they win.

i placed 8 orders on other websites over the weekend...no shipping fees on any of them...and four of them are free returns.

@lovesrecess. I agree. Not only is the shipping and return costs outrageous, but the condition my products are in when they arrive are ridiculous. Many sites have free shipping & free returns. We have all complained about this for years and many have jumped ship purchasing elsewhere to receive those benefits. If QVCs sales are down, I'd think new customers & keeping current ones happy would be the way to go. I know the Q is not NM, but when I order even a $25 lipstick, it arrives free shipping, packaged in a beautiful box w/ tissue inside and the tissue is folded neatly & sealed w/ a butterfly sticker...FREE! It arrives like a gift....a thank you gift for choosing our store to purchase and we appreciate your business. ***** My biggest beef is BUY MORE SAVE MORE. You get the pleasure of $4 off each additional item but w/ $3 shipping I save $1. WOW. Now that's what I call incentive to purchase more!!!

Are y'all aware that starting after Christmas UPS (and likely the other carriers) are increasing their basic shipping rates 5%.   Hopefully Q's new rates are reflective of the upcoming increase and there won't be a further increase after the holidays.

Since Q charges shipping AND handling they can always claim the shipping part is only $1 with the rest being the handling fee.

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.

I realize the Q is in the business to make money but on the other hand to lose customers becomes very expensive. I do very little shopping on the Q because they offer no bargains and the B&M stores have much better deals and no s/h. If I do shop online, I shop at sites that have no S&H. Macy's had free S&H for orders over $25.00. I went to Nordstrom the other day to get a bra measurement. The woman fit me and I bought one bra. She told me if I want another one to call her and they would ship it out free. I think the Q has become stale and has very few items that even entice me to buy. I have cut my buying down to next to nothing. I buy all my clothes at Kohl's, Macy's, JCpenney. DSW has the cutest shoes and they have a great selection. I am petite and refuse to by clothing that needs to be altered. You have to figure that price in the clothing. Therefore, I agree with everyone that if the Q continues their policies they will lose many longtime customers.

When using a prepaid label to return items QVC has always deducted a fee (usually $6.95) for that.  Many other retailers also generally charge for this service, and I don't mind because it's an added convenience for returning. What does bother me is QVC no longer refunds the original shipping & handling.

In the early days of QVC, one of the things which helped me have confidence buying from them was knowing that every cent paid to have an item sent to me would be refunded if it was returned.  In more than 25 years I have not returned 20 items, but not refunding s&h is a policy which may reduce my QVC shopping even further.
