@Mmsfoxxie wrote:But why do this with perishable items? My bagels, which was a replacement order that arrived late, was do to be delivered yesterday, 2-27. I tracked it yesterday and see that the bagels are expected on 3-4. Ship date was 2-25, I believe. Stale bagels for sure. Gonna have to call again about the same item but......
@Mmsfoxxie - Are these the Just Bagels? And is that ship date when they actually left the bakery or is it the date the shipping label was printed?
I only ask because mine had a ship date of the 17th but in fact that was just the label being printed and they weren't made until the 22nd and were delivered on the 24th.
They were supposed to be shipped the week of 02/08, but got delayed because of the big snowstorm that hit NYC. I have to say, mine were worth the wait. First time I've ever had them and they are delicious!
(Mine were not transferred to the post office. They were shipped UPS Ground. I thought they did that with most food items.)

@Tinkrbl44 I actually believe that UPS is the one that delays the packages. My UPS person told me that around Christmas, UPS had boxes and boxes of product in their warehouse waiting to get shipped to the USPS. Once they get to the Post Office I believe they are delivered quickly. My post office told me that the delivery status you get states that the UPS sent notice to carrier is just that, a notice and then it takes a few days for the USPost Office to finally receive the shipment. I believe it is cheaper for the Q to send UPS then to the Post Office.

@Venezia, the label was made on the 27th, I believe. But UPS sent me an email saying package was on its way and delivery was going to be on the 27th. But a rep this morning said that it might not have shipped but since UPS said it's on it way, they would, indeed, be stale by Thursday, March 4th. He could see the notices that I received. Any food I order is normally here the next day after shipment. Anyway, he credited my account. No more NewYork bagels because they obviously have shipping problems right now.

Honestly USPS is the worst. This is my biggest issue with ordering from QVC. Takes forever to get package and don't even get me started on returns. TOO LONG. Change this, QVC.

Okay. I've been preaching this for a year now. QVC is NOT gonna do what you ask. They have all orders defaulted to the 3.50 shipping method which is mail innovations. It has no priority and is USPS All the way.
I use the edit button on the check out page. It's a tiny red arrow with a drop down menu that has three shipping choices. The first one is that 3.50 one. No way. I use the second one. It's UPS ALL THE WAY and WEEEEE!!! Two days and it's in my hand SOME times three days but that's okay. Yes, it's gonna cost around 12.00 but hey, it's so worth me NOT having to baby sit my orders!!!!

ADDENDA.....
QVC does care if you or anyone else and that includes me, do not buy from them anymore because of higher shipping charges.
Dat's a fact Jack!
I will always buy from QVC.

@77yangya - Actually, the full name of the service is UPS Mail Innovations, so packages will begin their journey in the UPS network and then be handed off to the USPS for final delivery. As you noted, this is one of the lowest classes of shipping and has no prioritization for delivery, so that's the main reason for its very slow progress across the country.

NO. Mail innovations is USPS ALL THE WAY
SUREPOST is what you're referring to. I do not use either of them.
