I have had this happen as well. Most items are fine, but there were definite telltale signs that item was clearly a return. I agree that when you order an item at full price, it should arrive in "new/unused" condition. If you look up "As Is" in a search, "returns" fall under QVC's description of what constitutes an As Is" item.

Whenever I have had a problem I e the Social Team here and they take care of it PRONTO. They are the best!!!! I don't deal with the phone or chat operators only our great Social Team here. They get'er'done. Cheers to them!
