I think it is a work in progress. I consider myself to be pretty tech savvy, and this is a bit difficult to navigate, mostly because of the design. It looks unfinished: things overlapping, huge gaps of white space, things not displaying properly, etc. I think if we give them a few more days, it'll get straightened out. Right now, aesthetically speaking, it's not pleasant at all.  However, these things take time!

The real point is...they should have tested this out and "straightened it out" BEFORE releasing it on us! That's the point!

FYI, you can go into your settings and preferences to change a lot of things. You can have it display last reply. You have to play around with it.

Re: Questions About the Community?

My worst fears have been realized.  While I have gotten use to QVC's recent website changes, I still don't see that  as an improvement and if I wasn't a long time shopper would have difficulty finding what I needed.

At work, when we are discussing a project, we ask teh question - what problem are we trying to solve?  That is what I would like the QVC Community web designers to answer.  Now improvements for users who have complained about  the forums not working correctly for their device, Ipad, etc, I'm all for that.  But this is something I will never get used to.

And here are the main reasons:

1.  Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I like to read from the top down.  That is how I was taught in school, meaning as each person replies to the original post, their replies are place AFTER the one before it. So most current will be the last reply.  I know Facebook uses this, probably other social media but I find it very difficult to follow a conversation.  What is so wrong in posting replies in the order they were written?  You can always go to the last page to see the most current .

2. Before, without going into a thread, I could see who started the topic, the date and time they started it, how many replies, and the date and time of who last replied.  Now, while you provide who started the thread, you don't provide when.  On other sites, I have opened up 6 month old threads because I can't tell without opening

it, how old it is.  And second, please don't make me look at my watch to determine how  what time "2 hrs ago" is.  Or the day yesterday was.  Give me the date and time.

3.  I'm assuming the sub forums will be restored at some point.  I also can't find 2 new threads I started yesterday in anticipation of the "improvements".

4.  If QVC feels there is a need to Community Forum improvements, I would have expected QVC to have performed some UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with actual forum users.  As a project manager that is what my team does.  Especially since this area have no bearing on shopping, would you need test out these changes and ask for feedback in an area that is separate from shopping and used by thousands?  At the least, you should have had the curtesy to put up sample screens so we could provide input before you put this into production.

I am very sad that what I felt, wasn''t broken, and worked perfectly well, QVC decided to "improve".  I will be visting the forums less frequently I'm afriad due to these changes.  My life is stressful enough without having to deal with these changes that don't suit how I use and read forums.

Re: Questions About the Community?

WHY WERE THE SUB FORUMS TAKEN AWAY ????  FOR EXAMPLE COULD PULL UP CAROLYN POLLACK FORUM UNDER JEWELRY ---  COULD PULL UP LINEA UNDER FASHION.

REQUEST THE SUB FORUMS BE RETURNED - SO NOT USER FRIENDLY WITHOUT THEM !

Re: Questions About the Community?

PLEASE PUT "GAMER" THREADS IN THEIR OWN SEPARATE FORUM.

No offense to them but they're in the "COMMUNITY CHAT"

and they're filling up pages like the same way

SPAM posts flood the boards.

They're overtaking the "Community Chat" and it's almost mpossible to find other regular discussion threads.

Re: Questions About the Community?

How can I see ALL of my recent posts? Not just the ones that I started. I seldom start new message threads but I reply to many posts. I bookmark my own nickname and that's how I visit the boards. I want that ability back. Where are they? That's how I communicate in here by looking at many of my past messages.

Where are all of the posts for the last week? QVC obviously did not port those over to the new board format as they are not visible.

Fix the formatting problems with IE. Proper Q&A testing should have caught this big error and it is a giant one as many people us IE when they are using a desktop format. The boards display fine in Google Chrome, but not IE.
