Re: Questions About the Community?

Help please! Do I have to go through all the Beauty posts to find say, Laura Gellar or Wen? Seems like a lot of work to find specific topics that one might be interested in. Wouldn't sub-topics under the Beauty heading make more sense? Example: I have no interest in say Tarte - so if it was in a sub heading, I would just by-pass it. Without it, it's a lot of work to find something and a lot of time invested searching which a lot of us don't have. THANK YOU

Re: Questions About the Community?

Hi Pook - I saw many of the newer posts were gone, and yet, many of the older posts are shown. Also, no more sub-headings under a category - Takes too much time to find a topic and where is Viewpoints??? Still needs some work imo

Re: Questions About the Community?

I see no gray dots to edit my posts like some said.   I just don't think this whole thing was well thought out.  There is no real tutorial.  I thought it was just me not getting it as I'm not real tech savy but several others I know who are think this is not user friendly.

Even I think this is absolutely horrible.   I've encouraged and liked almost every update, but now it's a popularity contest.   I see no point in the hearts or the titles under the usernames.

You can actually get rid of the hearts so they don't show. I did it but don't remember how I did it. lol

I got rid of them already.  Editing your preferences.

This is just HORRIBLE, DO NOT WANT MY E MAIL PUBLIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your email does not have to be made public.

On the left side of your screen, under "Quick Links", go to "Edit my Preferences".  Under "Preference Options", go to "Privacy".  From there you can choose how your email address is viewed by clicking on an option under "Show Email Address".

Re: Questions About the Community?

Goldens, your email addy is NOT visible, go to your preferences and see that the Q has it set so no ones addy will show publicly (as their default setting). I checked it out as I was worried about that too.    Smiley Happy

Re: Questions About the Community?

I don't understand  the whole tagging thing.  Anything someone wants to find should be able to be searched for.  It makes no sense to me.

And again where are all the recent posts that we were still discussing and commenting on?  There are some stupid ones from several months ago showing but those were not topics that most would care about. if this is a completely new board starting fresh then do so but don't leave some posts that have no real purpose and delete the relevant ones.  The small print on the white is so hard on the eyes.

OK I finally was able to figure out the font size but now it's tiny again.

Can you bold anything or underline now?

Spoiler

Also what is a spoiler tag???  I clicked on it and all I got was the gray area above this line.

I don't mind change but at least provide understandable instructions on how to work the dang changes!!!!

These forums will definitely not be enjoyable and I won't come here much probably which means I will buy less because I often purchased stuff on others' great recommendations!!!

Re: Questions About the Community?

I read from left to right - this junk is all on the RIGHT and often written over each other. I just don't read from right to left very well. The entire thing is a big mess - cannot imagine anyone find this easy to read or use. Also I use a computer and I must wonder if this supposedly is for the benefit of those who have other tech gadgets? Cannot imagine that it works well for them either. Nothing is right - I had already read about changing the number of posts, changing sign up times - like the history of a poster - how dumb is that.

Re: Questions About the Community?

Is there anyway to get back the sub-forums under the large ones like Beauty and Fashion? I used the topics to find out about items I want and wanted to purchase, but it takes too much time to find a certain brand or even a type of product.

I've noticed newer blogs by the hosts are missing, too. Will these show up sometime later or are they gone for good?
