Quality down Selling jargon up

I had been with QVC since they first began.  Susan Graver slacks were a big draw but the quality of material and fit has deteriorated badly and I'm tired of returning her products and being dinged the fee. Does she have a gold key to keep mfg inferior products?  David was usually pretty reliable but the quality of products you give him to sell is junk but he continues to do his job.  Christmas tree I ordered last fall smelled so bad like formaldahyde I had to return and was continued to be billed for 6 months.  Had to call each month and advise to quit billing me for something that had acknowledged return.  Customer Service is always nice but accounting practices need work.  Even the Shark Tank has mentioned that QVC sells ****** to unsuspecting customers. Management appears to sleep ok at night promoting inferior products to the unsuspecting public and many won't go through the hassle of returning.  Sooner or later your stock market ratings will reflect data - will you take action then?

Sounds like you just need to shop somewhere else. Good luck to you.

Re: Quality down Selling jargon up

Speak with your wallet.  Prices are up and quality is down all over.  I purchase a lot less because of this.  I sew my own clothes but even the cost of patterns, notions, and fabric have skyrocketed.  I never thought I'd see the day when fabric would be made in China and the price sky high.  I only purchase when there is a good sale or I have coupons.  The Q does not offer purchasing incentives for me.  All they offer is Easy Pay, which I have never used.  As a result, I very rarely purchase.  While they don't miss my money, I'm saving by purchasing elsewhere.

Why are these highly negative posts typically from a brand-new poster?  Hmmm.  Makes one wonder.  (At least it does, me.)

@Krimpette I knew you would get backlash BUT I think the same way as you.

The reply was pretty "standard".  But I think if anyone were to do a study, they would find a definite pattern.  If I were to write a first post, I doubt I would chose to come on strong with a negative post.  I'd be more likely to dabble in more "mundane" posts first.  But that's just me.

I agree with docsgirl - quality is down and prices are up everywhere.

Better for me as I am buying much less.I walk around the stores and don't even feel tempted to buy anything.

Yes, I think that most of the #1 posters are people that have been banned or have a timeout and are mad, so they are almost always negative. It is interesting to see how long they are around.

This is true, @jackthebear.   In general, people tend to be quick to complain but less inclined to take action if they're happy with a product or an organization.   For that reason, sometimes  I think these first-time posts are a result of someone who's unhappy, who looked for a place online to post their dissatisfaction, and who found the Q Community in that way.   I try not to be too skeptical and I try to welcome new posters, but I also understand the tendency to question these posts.   If we've been reading/posting here a while, we've seen some strange things.

About the topic, personally I've found the quality, selection, and value on QVC has plummeted.    When I started purchasing from them, they had exceptionally strict quality control and the variety was wonderful.   I used to be a regular, and indeed the UPS driver knew me well!   Over time, this has changed so dramatically that I seldom buy anything here.
