Dear QVC:
I have been a customer for 30 years, and the prices lately are, to put it kindly, OUTRAGEOUS! A $30 shirt is now pushing the $70 price point! Additionally, you charge for shipping. If we don't like it and return it, we still pay for the shipping. It wasn't always like this. I recall a time not long ago when we could purchase jewelry, shoes, and fashion items for much less than local department stores. No longer, and to make matters worse, the styling and construction of the garments and merchandise are no longer of high quality. I'm shopping more in stores now and getting nicer clothes at better prices. Additionally, I have read that QVC is in massive debt and is experiencing difficulty with restructuring its debt, which doesn't bode well for its long-term stability. Not sure why senior leadership is focusing on areas that don't matter. Your long-time customers are leaving because you have steered away from what got you to being a sales powerhouse. We understand that prices increase over time, but raising prices so significantly is not going to get you back on track. It only pushes more and more customers away. Firing your long-time professional hosts was also a stupid move. We have many examples of long-time successful businesses that bring in clueless leadership and run them into the ground. From the looks of it, QVC is headed in that direction, and it is sad to see it end that way. To summarize, focus on executing the basics that made QVC successful. Focus on the customer and stop assuming people will continue to pay higher and higher prices. They won't.

This may be a forum, but in general, people are not going to respond well to such an intense post.

This hits exactly how I feel. I used to shop QVC because it felt like value and trust, not pressure and inflated prices. Once shipping and returns stopped feeling fair, the whole appeal disappeared for me too.

Basic Economics.
Prices are high because fabrics and production come from other countries due to cheap labor and costs. Businesses now have to pay tariffs to get them into the U.S. and pass that expense on until consumers pays it at check-out.
That said, the U.S. has not been a manufacturing company for 75 years. It won't become one again until businesses face huge tax penalties for oursourcing, cost of building materials go down, and tariffs to buy from us are slashed. Right now, businesses get huge tax breaks here and in other countries for outsourcing.
Every big corporation will take advantage if the opportunity permits. And the opportunity to price gouge is huge, especially with tariffs and the current business world in our country.

Thank you! Just wanted to get some visibility since maybe they (some level of customer awareness) monitor these boards, and was not sure where or how to put it.
