To remove his scarf from his neck, it's covering up his mic.  It's makes him sound muffled, which is not  bad thing actually.

How in the world can you tell if he's spitting when he speaks?  Of all the times I've watched his shows, I've never thought of him spitting.  I think you're imagining it.

That's what I was wondering. Unless you were there close to him how could you see him spitting on someone?  smh
