Re: QVC Community Link On Home Page

Please don't misinterpret my comments to be in defense of the poor website design and maintenance, because they're not.

The problems with browsers are definitely a failure on the website's part, because other sites can compensate for it. But I've learned this site doesn't. For that reason, we can regularly delete cookies, cache and website data or we can wait and wait until the site catches up with us. It's each person's choice, but that sort of "housekeeping" on a browser is easy and doesn't harm anything.

I've noticed more problems today. Yes, it's sluggish and I noticed we're back to an older problem: I wasn't signed in, and I read a thread to which I wanted to respond. Clicked on "Sign In" upper right corner of the page, signed in. Found myself on my Account page and not even in the Community. So I had to go through all the steps to find the thread, again, and then reply to it. Also, when I post a reply the screen makes a new "jump" I've not seen in the past.

Just ridiculous that a corporation as large as QVC can't wrangle up a proper technical support staff. I've even asked for a separate forum for technical problems, to allow us to share in one place (instead of threads willy-nilly all over the forums) and to get updates from the IT staff, but they've never added anything of that nature.

Hey dooBdoo, since they posted the link to your "Moderation of the Boards" thread, maybe you could make that request on there, unless you already have. I haven't read the latest posts for a day or so. You did get their attention, so I would think that they're watching it (I hope).....{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

Re: QVC Community Link On Home Page

Oh yea, the old jumping screen thing... That's been a problem on both sides of this site for me for over a week... Half the time, I'll click just as the screen jumps or the page finishes loading and end up linking to something totally not where I was headed. Agree, the website really ought to be someone's priority and it clearly never has been.

No, not only have they not added a technical problem page but they also very rarely use their website as a communication tool to advise customers of issues, problems, glitches, etc... And still, the hosts all want us to friend them on Facebook... Go figure.
