Re: Proper Pronunciation

Find her unwatchable. She gets to frantic. Chris  could get excited but this new lady  is a turn off. Are they paid by how fast  they speak ?

Well, if the word is being mispronounced it may be a kindness for someone to mention off camera to her for future presentations. Not everyone knows the correct spelling or the correct pronunciation of all words.

If I had a nickel for every time I hear the simple word "to" mispronounced I'd be able to open my own bank branch. It's to, not ta.

But I'm not going to get my blood pressure up over it.

@Mersha   Same here...I have a masters degree and spent a lot of time writing papers and still do presentations for work.  I am originally from Baltimore and like you from Pittsburgh, the accent and word pronunciation is all it's own.  Omg yes, some of the way I say things would burn some folks ears but I'm proud of my "Baltimorese" and hope I never lose it hon!  My folks always say "payment" for "pavement" and I love that...how boring would it be if we all were the same and oh so proper.

Working for a well known coffee company, I've heard so many people say eXpresso instead of eSpresso--both customers and people I work with.  It probably could bother me, but I just can't be that critical of others.

I agree regarding listening to the slaughter of a word.  That's right up there with ax instead of ask and wichew instead of with you.  I could go on and on.  Grammer is important and when you are on a public platform you need good proper English!

Interesting how people criticize a poster for criticizing a vendor seem to think they know it all!
