Promise for applying for Qcard

I was told on facebook to come to this site and tell you why I think I may  have been tricked into getting the card. I was told I would get like 33.00 credit for first purchase. I made purchase and called customer service to see how to enter a code for the credit. Your rep told me it would show up in 30 to 60 days. Really? I will have my purchase paid for in that lenght of time. Now you advertise a 40.00 credit for new members. But where is my credit?

I don't know who or what (bot?) told you this on Facebook, but when I've seen the Q advertise this offer they stated that the credit would be applied to the next purchase you made.

I would never take a Facebook statement as fact.

if you listen to the info each host gives , it says the amount offered as a credit would be applied to your NEXT purchase....my bet is that with your very next purchase, you will see that credit applied.

@Betty Chism  The credit was the result of the first purchase - not to pay for the first purchase.  It will be applied to the next purchase you make after it shows up withing 30 - 60 days.  I don't know where you got the idea that there was a code.  The offer is clearly explained.

And yes credit card offers can and do change.

You probably should listen or read more carefully to make sure you understand terms and conditions for offers.

@Betty Chism  I honestly don't know how anyone can be "tricked" into getting a credit card!

I agree with other posters about the terms. They are always plainly stated and they are repeated.

Re: Promise for applying for Qcard

Back in November, I ordered the TSV, which was 49.98.  There was an offer for a $40.00 credit to "your account", if you signed up for the Q credit card.  I did.  The bill came as the TSV price.  I called CS.  They said the credit does not appear on the credit card, the bill is due.  The actual credit is applied on the QVC side, so you have to order another item, and the price of that item will be reduced by the $40.00 offer., with the balance going on the Q card.  I complained, as this is not at all how the offer is/was stipulated on air.  How are we to know that there is a credit card side of the house and an internal qvc ordering side of the house?  Personally, I found it very misleading.

Re: Promise for applying for Qcard

I think they make it clear that the dollar amount offered (it varies) cannot be applied to your first order but will be applied to a subsequent order.   I have no interest in getting a Q card.  Had one years ago and there are no benefits to it at all.  At that time there was nothing given as an incentive to get a card.

Re: Promise for applying for Qcard

Dear @Betty Chism , a moderator helped me get my credit, but be aware, it is for a FUTURE purchase, not the item you ordered when you requested a Q-card. My complaint was that I only had about 15 days to use my credit, and it had expired by the time I found something I wanted to buy. The moderator put the credit back on my account and I used it within 30 days on a quilt I absolutely love.

@Glamorous1  - I understand how it can be misleading.
