Price are WAY out of control

Over the past couple years, it's ridiculous how high they are raising the prices on ALL the clothing. There is NO reason that their "inside" brands (Denim and Co, Anybody, Susan Graver etc) should be sky high and the same prices as the "outside" brands. They are always saying that "we cut out the middle man," yet they are overcharging customers. The clerance prices are what the items should have cost in the first place. Plus, today is another example, the Susan Graver liquid knit tunic is $35 and I heard Terri Conn say around 12:30 in the afternoon that it's basically sold out. YES, QVC, LOWER ALL of your clothing prices (at least on ALL QVC exclusive brands) and customers will buy your items much more so than high prices you are charging. I've been a QVC customer for many years and have significantly cut down on my shopping for these reasons. Especially when having to pay $3.50 in SH to get the item and another $6.95 to RETURN an item. So, $11 to try something on?  No thanks. I find that I will order a few items only on free SH days to at least offet SOME of the prices. I have received multiple surveys with some questions being do I feel a loyalty to QVC brands, do they provide the same quality, same variety as what I can get at another retailer-- rarely. And if I buy something from another retailer it's SO nice to just take it to the store and return it for FREE. I hope QVC addresses this price issue, as I've seen comments (but not a dedicated post) that others agree. If you agree, click the "heart" so maybe we can get a change soon :-)   Thanks for listening....

Re: Price are WAY out of control

Seriously? Have you looked at the price of groceries lately? I'm more concerned about what I'm paying for necessities rather than what is offered at QVC. There's nothing QVC offers that I can't live without.

Re: Price are WAY out of control

I had on fashion clearance yesterday .. and after tuning in

to fashion's night in last night ... I said to my self at least

twice ... wow ... that seems high .....$ 64.00 for one top .....

Just glad I have what I already own and am happy with

those things .....

What I don't get is why an item is on clearance for one day and then the price goes up again!  I couldn't believe my ears when the host said that.

@Jeletta

QVC's pricing for an item most likely has been in place for nearly a year as there is lead time needed to order from the manufacturer especially large volumes. A year ago we had the beginnings of covid with all the subsequent manufacturing and availability problems.  Posting about too high prices most likely won't change their mind as many factors go into pricing an item.

You said if QVC lowers their prices more people will buy.  Looks like they're doing OK with the SG TSV if it has sold out by noon.

Re: Price are WAY out of control

I feel prices differ everywhere.  QVC offers many brands at a range of prices.  Some are reasonable, some maybe not for you.  There are plenty of other places to shop.  If you don't like QVC prices or you feel they are out of your range of what you want to spend.  Over the years, as you put it, QVC has spoiled us with free S&H, returns free, etc.  They probably suffered quite a loss on trying to keep people happy.

I feel this is just another unhappy customer who wants better products at less money with free free free.

@mspatmac I agree.

Their pricing makes no sense.  There is the QVC price, TSV price, QVC2 price, One Day Only price, Limited Quantity price, Sale price, Clearance price, and now Clearance/Sale price.  Did I miss any?

I think once something is on clearance, it should stay at that price or go down even further.  And yes, I think the prices are too high.  I do still get good deals on clearance and lunchtime specials, other than that, I am no longer tempted because the prices are just too high, and I don't really need anything!

Re: Price are WAY out of control

It's funny you should mention this. I just checked the Recently on Air and thought the D&C baby sherpa tunic was cute for hanging around the house. Actually, I liked all of the colors and thought about buying several until I saw the price. $42.50 plus shipping. Nope, I'll pass. If I only had to pay shipping for one, or, free shipping is better. As it stands, I'll schlep around in what I already own.

Re: Price are WAY out of control

@Jeletta One reason that QVC's clothing prices have risen is the addition of larger sizes, 4X and 5X. It takes more material to make the clothes in those sizes. Since the Q does not charge more for plus sizes they have spread the increased cost evenly over all sizes. Plus, the cost of everything has gone up. Groceries especially. We're all paying for the extra precautions stores and online retailers alike have to take to insure the health of their employees and customers.

@Jeletta   I agree with you and for that reason, I hardly buy any clothing from the Q.  It has to be something I really like and can't get locally.   I am also tired of the slow shipping.  I ordered 6 pair of levi jeans on Sat. and woke up to them at my door on Monday.  I ordered 6 tops with thumb holes last week from another store and had all of them in 3 days and no not from Amazon.  Add to that all the clothing being modeled by plus size models loses my interest when I am 100 pounds.  They must have buyers and probably don't care what we think, so it is best to just buy somewhere else.
