I remember reading an article about QVC and they were interviewing David V.  When he first did the nauseating happy dance the phones lit up and the item sold out in seconds.  Now the producer tells him to do the happy dance during certain demos to boost the item sales.  He is so phoney, cannot watch him for a second.

David has really grown on me the last couple of years. I don't cook that much, but I watch his shows because I think he's so cute and enthusiastic. He doesn't strike me as phony at all, but different strokes .......

Exactly my thoughts about David.  He does appear to enjoy his food, guests and job!  I do wish that he wouldn't talk "colors" of the product so often. Too often is too often and it takes away from the presentation.

I also think some of the other hosts present food as if they have never eaten before and it is repulsive!!!  Just once,  I would like to see/hear a host spit out the food and say that "item" is disgusting - obvioulsy - it will never happen!!  But, there is no way that every bite is delicious, devine and delightful!!!

PS - and yes, I do change the channel and watch the 'items recently aired' instead!!

Yeah, I don't get him.  Zero manners.

Sharon isn't bad at all.  I've never been grossed out by her.

Jill did the food show yesterday.  That was the first time I've ever seen her on a food show.  I wasn't impressed.  She just takes over and talks over the vendor - all of them.  I couldn't watch anymore so I turned it off.

What a diva  Smiley Sad

As for me, my pet peeve is the Germack representative always manhandling all the ingredients of the product.......she's constantly pulling the dried cranberries apart or mashing them & using her fingers to push all the nuts, etc out of the platters.....At least the Squirrel Brand guy uses a metal scoop on his ingredients...........

Can you imagine how boring it must be to talk about the same 4-5 food products over and over for 4 hours?

By the way, Q expects hosts to eat and talk at the same time.

If they don't want dead air when the host is chewing, the vendors can talk.

Re: Please stop gulping and swallowing while talking!

When Sharon hosts a food show, she reminds me of a starving spinster, with a bad attitude.  She tries to speak to emphasize, but she just sounds cranky.  All the afternoon food shows are a waste of air time.  There is no way I would purchase the overpriced food on the Q!
