I'm also 5'1" and have purchased ankle PJ bottoms which on me are almost full length.

I am also petite....5' 2".   The only place that I have found petite pajamas that fit is either Land's End...or Boscovs. I prefer the jogger bottoms...less chance of tripping.

one of my pet peeves.  lol!  Too long pant!!. 5 years ago I was 5'4 1/2 "and most pants were too long, or they just fit well.  Seems last few years they get longer, and I have gotten shorter. Now 5'2" I mostly buy Crop or capri  pajamas.  I find a lot of them. They work perfect. Come to ankle.  My granddaughter is 5'6" and leisure oamts and pjs are long on her. She has slipped down hardwood stairs once here.  That scared me. 
now a days universal sizing is gone, it's a Qwap shoot, as every brand is different.  But, they are all long, as they are meant to fit uo to 5'8, lol.  Same for arms , and arm width. 
Petites are harder to find, but every vendor has them. For me the petite sizes don't come  in print or style I like often, but I can find crop.

Comfort is different for everyone - short for some and long for others.   Different strokes for different folks.

I'm 5'1" - can't stand pants that are too long including PJ pants.  A few years ago I bought some Susan Graver petite weekend joggers that I wear as PJ pants.  They're a very soft drapey knit.  

I agree tho there are plenty of other places to buy petites.

I have bought Petite pjs from qvc many times. Muk Luks offers many petite pjs. I just got a pair a few weeks ago.

Qvc has Petite pjs. I get them all the time. Muk Luks has many. Type it in search on qvc.com

I ordered pjs bottoms from Penney's in petite and no tripping.  I get a pair every year and ordered two this year.  Fun patterns.

@spumoni99 I sleep under a fleece cover and have lots of throws in the living room, and I would struggle with things around my lower leg
