I love the idea that QVC ocassionally mentions the height and size of the model but they don't always do it; it depends on the host. I woulld appreciate it if they would make it a standard practice to mention it all the time, plus give their weight. When I look at the model I'm able to determine the best size to order. When I see certain models in a size large, I know to order medium, etc. QVC would have less returns if they did that. I have found out the hard way that certain brands run toward the large size (especially when it comes to bottoms). I now know to order down on Cracker Factory, Susan Graver, Denin & Co., and  Lisa Renna. The only time I would order the size they recommend is if it's very tight/form fitting. They usually say order your QVC size but depending on the brand it isn't always true.

I'm all for stating the models' height and size, but I think it would be too invasive for them to have to give their weight.......especially insensitive to the heavier models.  I do like that QVC always shows the garment measurements on the side of the screen during the presentation.  I find that to be most helpful when trying to decide between 2 sizes.

There is no way they are going to give the weight of the models, nor should they.  That number could be very misleading, changes daily, and it is none of our business.

I find that to get the best fit, look at the garment measurements.  If you know what clothing measurements fit you the best, you can order accordingly.

I don't think the models size has anything at all to do with the size an average American woman needs to buy.I really feel it is very intrusive to make them always say what size they are wearing - esp. the plus models. And to expect them to say their weight as well? OMG - I can't believe anyone would say that.

Weight means nothing, it's how you carry your weight that defines your size.

I agree we don't need to know the models weight, actually it's easy to see if they are very slim or heavier. The height to me is the big thing, my elderly aunt mentioned that she thought the models were average height until they mentioned that they were 5ft8 and even taller. Of course she wouldn't order anything because she's 5ft1 and there were no petite models showing the clothes.

I agree. And weight is mostly meaningless because of different body types and the way we carry it. I'm an apple shape and if you put me next to an hourglass figure or an athlete of the same height and weight, we are all going to look very different in the same item. My friend and I are similar in height and weight, but she's got a much smaller waist and carries her weight in her hips. The way we're shaped makes a lot more difference in how our clothing fits than the weight.

I think they do an excellent job of describing the models' sizes and heights now.  I don't see the need for further information.  I don't find it terrible helpful to know the models' height and dress size anyway,  as it doesn't relate to me.  There's no way they can supply a model to represent all body types.

I don't need to know the height or weight of the model, host, or vendor.  What I do need to know is what size they are wearing in the garment.  I know, for example, if Jacquie is wearing a large, her usual size, then I can tell that it'll fit me similarly in a medium.  But, if she has to go up or down from large, and I'm not aware of that, then the medium will not fit me.  I can usually do the same with a few of the other models and/or hosts.  Did that make sense LOL!??  

I don't watch live any more (except for an occasional LDO show), but I do watch the videos and check the click here measurements, which are hit or miss for me.

It may be that giving us as much info on sizing as possible is not in Q's best interests.
