I know this has nothing to do with the subject.

I noticed your signature line. Did you just lose someone? If I'm being nosy, please forgive.

My black lab Bo suddenly had to be put to sleep on Sunday. There is a post about it on among friends. Thanks for asking.

@hsawaknow

I'm so sorry. I had one of those sweet boys years ago named Snoopy. They are such good guys.

Again, I'm so sorry.

@topcat10, please - no need to be yelling at another fellow poster. The OP made a legitimate request for the host to please provide more info on the product that was being sold. That's where the info should come from, and shoppers should not have to go elsewhere to get the info on the product. Pretty simple.

I totally agree!  I want to know all the information, options like colors, sizes,

before they start trying to sell me on it.  I have watched so many times when

they are offering the tsv's and feel like I am not getting all the information.

Then, when Jill comes on, I watch her, as she gives all the important information

and sometimes will let you know who it would be perfect for.  Example..." this is

a little short waisted in the back" so I know it would be perfect for me.  Or, this

garment fits a little snugger here, or larger there, so I can judge if it fits my needs.

A few other hosts are great too, with explaining all the features on items, and not

waiting until several minutes have past before we feel comfortable ordering, because

they haven't even told us the colors it comes in.  Kinda sad...Qvc should train them

a little better in this dept.  \

By the way.....if someone has a legitimate complaint and they may not be on

this board all the time....why is anyone YELLING at them?  No one deserves that.

Jill Baur, Carolyn Gracie, Leah Williams, Mary Beth Roe are really good about having the camerman go in and do close shots of the material. They actually focus on the product instead of having a gab fest about the planets and stars. And one thing I wish they would do is show the colors first! And why on earth did they stop with the sizing. They spend 10 minutes yapping away they cant spare a few seconds giving the chest and waist measurements {thanks Jayne Brown}. I have to leave my computer on so I can get the info quicker to see colors and sizes. I dont need a host to tell me their favorite candy bar.

That is my biggest complaint when hosts present clothes. When there is a clothing item that I want to see, I want to see colors first!!!

Often they don't even turn the garment around so we can see the back.  That is a pet peeve of mine.

It's certainly not too much to ask, @Calcgirl. In fact, we shouldn’t have to request this very basic function of any host and/or vendor. Why else are they there?

If I wanted to watch a talk show, there are many, much more informative and entertaining ones to choose from. It's not why I tune in to any shopping channel.

I absolutely agree. After all, there are more than enough minutes spent on each item, at least some of that time ought to be spent specifying the care, fit, relative sizing. For example.. instead of them all saying they're a xxsmall, tell us if the item runs true to size, is more form fitting. I mean lately they always state "i'm xxxsmall and 5'10" over and over again, it's kind of ridiculous. Also more close ups on the details, and basically.. something about the item itself. Not all thisimaginary "story" routine where they act like everyone needs either styling advice or some fairy tale that our life can be if we wear this thing. Considering the cost of trying it on, with all the shipping costs and long wait for exchanges, I don't like all the fluff. I want reality and specifics so I can make a more informed decision

Oh yes, Leah is excellent AND pleasant and chatty enough. But she does a great job with demonstrating all the aspects and details of the clothing

It occurred to me that this host would prefer to have her own talk show. I think she would leave QVC if she got such an offer at the end of her contract.
