I know there is only so much a person can do ,especially when they are allowing the other person to speak, but please spare us habit. It serves no purpose to dolefully look into a jar and keep poking your finger in and out. It is in a word, ODD. You can say, I want you to notice this texture and maybe use a spatula, or something but stop this absurd intent staring into the jar as if you are completely mesmerized by the fact the cream can form a peak. They dont even do this on the cooking shows. I make homemade shea butters and that is fun and in a million years I would not sit and poke my finger in and out .

I totally agree with you, it is discussing and nasty 🤢

@Thebig I you left out the accompanying practice of filling those jars with additional contents so that they CAN poke their finger in and out repeatedly to show you how wonderful the product is. They have viewers thinking the jar they receive will be filled to the brim-when in actuality it will not.

It's to show the texture!!! How can anyone find that odd or nasty!!???? For me that could be the selling point and I see it as an excellent way to showcase the product. Comparing this to a cooking show?? Nothing to compare! I wouldnt sit home and poke my finger in and out of any product whether I made it or not so that is nothing to compare these demonstrations to and that would be odd!! I cannot imagine anyone thinking that the jar would be overfilled when they get it!! It looks that way because they are fluffing it up during the demo but if left sitting still the product settles. The things that bother some is astounding!!

I think it's gross. Josie slops it all over the sides of the jar.

I completely stopped watching 1 vendor because of that. They all demo cream by tapping the contents once or twice and showing the peak, and I can live with that. But I agree that what you are describing is a big turn off.

That and making suds in a bowl of water when selling shower gel.

I agree it's nice to show the consistency of the product, but to keep doing it over and over and over and over is a bit much...WE GET IT, ALREADY!!

Also smoothing tons of it over the body (models) when they say you don't need to use much.

It only is repetitious if you sit and watch constantly like a small minority here do (most do not do). There are way more that are channel surfers so they do not see it over and over and I would bet that is where most sales come from!!! How else could they demonstrate after the first dip? It would just be dead airtime!!! I also would love to hear why some call it nasty!!
