I rarely shop at Q because of shipping and return costs. I can find everything I want elsewhere for less money, better promo codes, and free shipping/returns.

This is all part of the reason they are in trouble. QVC makes a lot of money on shipping.
As for size charts and measurements. They can give you a reference, but you can’t tell how the garment will fit and look until you try it on.
People should read Q's quarterly financial reports. They're struggling but make a profit from shipping and return fees. Corporations are not known for changing something that makes them money no matter the impact on sales or customers.

@Tori3569 wrote:@manny2 If you're so inclined look for the thread from yesterday on QVCs 3rd quarter results. Their strategies are working and they're no longer "in trouble". The 4th quarter for all of retail looks very positive and for QVC as well.
Also, if anyone thinks QVCs returns are the only ones not free, I just paid $8.95 to return one item to Anthropologie and I spent $25 for expedited shipping from Banana Republic which did not arrive on time with absolutely no apology or offer of a refund, no matter how many times I called.
i also sent my nephew who lives in San Diego a 3lb package from here in NYC and it cost $34 to go UPS!
You might want to go back and read that financial report. QVC is still in trouble.

I can read just fine.
Yes, shipping is part of their revenue. Is that working for them? I’m not so sure. Notice how many free shipping items and days they offer now.
It might be time to update this antiquated model.

@kaydee50 wrote:@Kachina624 If the garment measurements do not match the stated measurements, yes it is defective.
And to the others about the "reasonable" cost of shipping the cost is already factored into the price of the item. There should be free shipping always but not free returns unless the item is defective. JMHO!!!!
How do you know the cost of shipping is already factored in? Do you set the prices? You are making a statement based on your opinion, not facts.

I wanted to exchange the garment for an xxsmall but that size was not available in any of the colors, then there wouldn't have been a return fee, oh well, not only that I was watching host NY doing a Dennis Basso show a few nights later and she mentioned free shipping and returns, not mentioning free exchanges for size which is what should have been said, thanks to all that agree with me and I totally agree with one of the posters that they have to do all they can to make money off of us! What a shame! Good riddance QVC👎

Not an opinion. When a manufacturer prices an article it takes into consideration a lot of factors including cost of labor, materials, adverstising, shipping, handling, etc. etc. The price of s/h is already in the price of the article-fact.

@Glam1972 wrote:Qvc should seriously consider free returns!!! I just returned a clothing item because size was to big and was charged $6.95. That did it for me, you've just lost a long time customer forever!!!!
@Glam1972 Then you probably won't be shopping anywhere online soon. The retail industry as a whole is getting rid of free returns. For the very few companies that still offer free returns today (I cannot think of any), just wait, that will soon change.
