[Nightowlz]

I searched Nightowlz online & saw a few posts on like page 7 or later. Did not see any Profile info or Avatar. There are a lot of Nightowlz when I searched but they are not me. I did not see my real name or any personal info. any place.

i'm seeing our profile  pages like we see them online if you click on a user's nic, you see their most recent posts,

last visited, number of posts.

mine showed my email but I was logged iin.? hoping it is due to it being in cache

yes, we could search our nics in google but theyonly brought up a lot of text.

non forum users can see all the profile content we can see. its just wierd, just seems there are no parameters, yes it is a public board but we are also customers too.

maybe if you have a unique nic name and the spelling of it is unusual  it shows up easily in a search.

my nic is not a real name it is sort of a mashup maybe thats why it show up easily

just thought it was curious when i searched my nic it even showed my email addy

Well I can't even find the My Settings place.  I think I found it once before, but I don't remember where.  I don't see it under "My Account."  This is frustrating.

Every option for "NONE" under my privacy settings is, and has been since Day 1 of this new format, selected.  I just Googled my nickname:  When I am signed in to the Forum, like right now, my Email shows up as well as every photo I have labeled  as "private."

When you type your QVC nic and ask for this forum here you will see nothing is private while on any computer.  

Anyone sitting out there using any search engine can type in your nic and follow everthing you post everyday, week or month or year.

Changing your privacy setting will not prevent your activity from posting in Google. This is a public forum, and what you post is available for everyone to see, just like any other public group you are a part of. It has always been that way, this is not new.

As long as you use an anonymous name, it should not be a problem.

Were you still logged in when you searched your name and saw your email? Make sure you log out and try again. I can't see your email on your profile, but you should always be able to see your own email if you are logged in.
