Sheesh. Put QRTEA in your search engine ( the stock symblol) and you'll see lots of articles spelling it out.

The problem is people thinking teevee is a family.

They are not.

Qurate is a publicly traded company who answers to thier stockholders, who keep them in business by investing in their business.

Qurate is bleeding out.

Sheesh..They're TEE VEE salespeople.

Put on any informercial and re-fixate on one of those hosts. There are plenty of them...ALL of them hucksters first.

They are NOT your family.

QVC has to many newer hosts anyway.That they did not need to hire.So now there getting rid of the older ones. Simply easy to see the Corprate Greed.

Caroline & Dan were not fired as some of you seem to think. They were layed off which is very common in the Corporate world. I see most of you are only focused on these two, did you think of the other 398 that were also layed off?

These two hosts are just that hosts. Just because they come into your living rooms each day doesn't mean they are your friends and/or family. They are selling product and by doing that they are meeting a quota.

Let me ask this question, especially of the new posters. How much did any of you purchase while either of these two hosts were on the air? The amount purchased while on-air gives them more air time - perhaps they weren't meeting that number.

And yes, its usually those that have been with a company the longest that are offered a retirement package first.

I don't know what world you live in but that's not always the case. Look at Antonella. It's very hard to start over when you've been in the same job for a long time. I really feel for Carolyn. Something "different" usually comes along but not always "better". I've discontinued ordering from QVC & HSN. Just another negative aspect of everyday events in our country.
