Watching Kristine on morning February 17 2018, 6 a.m. Linea show, it was evident that she did not do her homework on Louis Dell’ Olio. Started out pronouncing his name wrong multiple times. Pronouncing it Dell’Oreo.
It was obvious she knew nothing about him or his design style, let alone his talent.
She referred to his line as “Lanai” and Louis kindly corrected her.
Louis was gracious in excusing her by saying it was the first time they worked together. Kristine then mentioned she was entitled to one mistake. Little did she know she made many.
i have been watching QVC for 12 years non-stop. Quality of hosts going down and choices of designers next to none. Louis is one of the last of the real designers.
He is just returning from a heartbreaking year end. What is QVC thinking when pairing him with a newbie?
Everyone has to start somewhere, but at least do homework.

Sorry Christine did not do well with Louis. I do admire Louis and his line of clothing. I have seen Christine on other shows and thought she did a good job. I did not see the show in question.

Wouldn't you be terrified to get before a TV camera and thousands of people, aware that you know nothing and are likely to make a fool of yourself? I would have been studying all night to prepare. These newbies think they can sleep in, then "wing it". Her presentation was a train wreck. Hosts should have basic knowledge of life experiences, like knowing the difference between a woven fabric and the knit you are wearing.

@Fighting I saw that show (I DVR all of Louis' shows). I finally was talking to myself out loud telling her how to pronounce Linea.
She flubbed up his name a few times too. I am not usually critical of people on TV (because as I've said, I'm not perfect).
However, this is her job and she should have prepared for it. Giving her the benefit he did say it was the first time they'd met, but ..... again...it is her job.
He's so professional (but kind) I would think she she would have (as you said) studied and at least seen a few of his other shows before.
I did feel sorry for her because it looked like she was nervous. Maybe that was it. I've always found her hard to watch but it was his show so I sat through it.
It's nothing personal, I just don't like the sound of her voice and I feel like she isn't prepared for her shows.
I apologize for being so critical...but (I'm whispering...'It is her job".

Seems Mrs. Zell frequently hosts trainwreck shows. Sorry. Her hosting with Robert Lee Morris was also an embarrassment, as well as other jewelry shows she has presented.. They are professionals and should be able to do better no matter how new. The ARE supposed to study beforehand.

As I've posted a number of times over the years, I imagine masses of hopeful people audition for host positions.
How many hundreds get passed over in order to bring us "winners" who cannot speak well and who do not prepare? What a waste.

I'm betting she has no real idea who Louis really is in the fashion world.....I have tried to look back to 1977 or so and find a fashion show of his....beautiful photos on line.. but I'd like to see the show. He's put up a photo of Jac when she was 17... ![]()
These young gals (sales hosts) I cannot relate to...I don't like it when they say "You can rock it"...........certain things are not in that category, imho.....
Elegance is not rocked.... it's embraced.

OMG, I saw part of that show, where Christine called Louis' line... "lanai". My mouth fell open. I thought, why in the world didn't you teach yourself about Louis and his line before you went on the air. I hope she was called on the carpet for all the mistakes she made while on w/Louis, but I doubt it.
He was so gracious in correcting her. My gosh, qvc.........enough w/the non-professional hosts!!!
