Re: Love it or Return it......for 9.95....

I agree, I rarely buy 'wearables' from the Q anymore.  Sizing is all over the place, even on brands that I used to be able to rely on (e.g. Clarks shoes wide width are now narrower than medium width Clarks I have from a few years ago).

I think any retailer that sells clothes sight unseen has to expect to deal with returns and factors that in somehow. I do buy clothes online but I buy from other retailers where I can buy two sizes if I'm unsure--- I'll get free shipping, because that is often standard elsewhere and I do pay to return a load but it is $6.95 label for everything.  So I can try on a boatload of stuff in the privacy of my own home for $6.95.  totally worth it.   Whereas with the Q you have to pay to ship both ways on EACH ITEM which is so not worth it!!

Re: Love it or Return it......for 9.95....

I recently bought an "as is" Dennis Basso faux fur coat the coat cost $3.00 to ship and (8.95) to return. That's my last straw, I love shopping the Q but I can use that $12 for many other things. If they can ship it one way at $3.00 why does it cost $8.95 to ship back? Leaves ya scratching your head!

Shipping costs, and if you make a purchase, decide not to keep it, and send something back, why should you not cover shipping?  If you do not pay for it, who should?  The rest of us with higher prices?

Althought it may seem unfair to you,, the fact is you are getting an item, having it packaged and shipped to you, and then returning it up to 30 days later.  This is an item that QVC can then not sell -- at least not during the time you jhave it.  Likely, the item will not be able to be sold as new and will then have to be discounted and sold as-is or in an outlet.  So, again, why should you not at least pay shipping?

And before you begin citing companies which offer "free shipping," know that not only do these retailers build shipping into their prices, but know that QVC is up-front with its shipping charges.  QVC is hiding nothing from you.  If you opt to "take a chance" on something when your sizing has changed and you are unsure of the appropriate size, I do not see how you can fault QVC.

OMG I am so tired of this misinformed response from posters.

There are plenty of items sold on QVC which can be bought elsewhere.  For example, let's say Philosophy.  I can buy Purity from QVC and pay s/h or I can buy Purity from Nordstrom for the EXACT SAME PRICE and have it shipped to me for free and I can return it for free.

So please tell me how Nordstrom has built the free shipping both ways into the price.

Re: Love it or Return it......for 9.95....

Have u tried the actual garment measurement chart? For tops, measure ur bust. Click for garment measurement chart and locate measurement for "circumfrence 1" below underarm" and order size that fits ur bust. U may need to return if u dont get it right the first time. Ive been using this chart and have practically eliminated the need to return.

If u r doing an exchange, q doesnt charge for return or 2nd shipping charges.

Re: Love it or Return it......for 9.95....

I have used the garment measurement chart but it does not solve the problem of ordering 2 of the same item and same size and finding that one top is 1 to 2 inches smaller in the chest and length. I won't reorder hoping to get one that fits. Earlier this year a D&C TSV pant was offered in a selection of denim and a selection of twill colors. The denim fit fine and the colored ones were at least 2 sizes off and had to be returned. They had horrible reviews for fit which of course were not available on TSV day. And there was no real reduced shipping either as every item I had ordered within 6 months of the policy change was bumped up in price, some by as much as $10. Do I still order from the Q, yes, but very little in clothing.
