If we did not speak up and express our likes and dislikes than perhaps we could just let a sells rep sit on a sofa bare foot with racoon eyes and red face  and think that is OK with how we all want to look.

I am am old woman with style so much so that young people notice and give me compliments. That is how I want to live my life as a wonderful statement of style and health . I do not understand this tribal style of youth, I am so grateful that I grew up when the styles were ever changing and getting better each year.

I see noting wrong with voiceing your opinion on such matters in hope that it will somehow transform a wall flower into a beautiful woman .

The Q won't be getting their business. Millennials are impulsive and when they do buy, they want one day delivery.

Millennials do spend money on Athleisure wear, which has taken the place of jeans.

They love to eat fast food at gas station stops.

Millennials either don't have the money or will not spend the money on things the Q sells.

The Q needs to take care of the age customers they've always had. If they lose them, they'll have bumpkiss.

Speaking of language, the correct word is bupkis or alternatively bubkes. It's a Yiddish word meaning "nothing".

I don't mind hearing the words heinie or butt. Pretty tame stuff. I do get annoyed when people try to use a non English word and butcher it.

Some of the posts in this thread are hilarious.

I don't think there's a problem except perhaps somewhat of a generational one, more particularly a "manners/moral superiority" one.

I am from the baby boomer generation and proud of it.  I am not offended by the words butt or heiny and do not expect the Q to cator to my age group exclusively.  I buy what suits me and what I am comfortable with and age appropriate.  I don't want to wear younger styles or designs or to be trendy.  I want to be me at my stage of life, happy and proud of my generation and its accomplishments.  What the young do may not always be agreeable to me but I remind myself of when I was that age and did the same.  You live and learn and hopefully learn from your mistakes and mature.  Wisdom does come as we age and we wish we knew then as we know now but that isn't how it works.  What I do wish the millenials would do is fight for what is right and just, find causes which need their help and have value systems and respect for all.  As the old expression goes, actions speak louder than words.

@febe1

You must think that Millennials are only teenagers.

As I said, the OLDEST Millennial is in their mid-thirties, hardly still "living at home" with mom and dad, and I am sure that they have jobs.

But the fact is, baby boomers are no longer the demographic that businesses cater to.

I know people hate that, especially the baby boomers, because they are so use to being worshipped, but the youngest boomer is in their mid-sixties, which means that most are pushing 70+.

And even baby boomers are not immune to death, and they are starting to die off.

No business stays stagnant and survives.

You either get with the times, or get left behind.

I agree, @Plaid Pants2, "no business stays stagnant and survives." However, I feel, if the older demographic is bored with too few products and too few vendors, they are in fact remaining stagnant and  not doing well. Why should young people like this any better.

As far as words go, like heinie or butt, I don't see that as moving forward and not remaining stagnant.

I know young people who use the F word all the time in their conversations. It's just part of their vocabulary, but I don't think if the Q likes certain young slang, it's going to draw in the young.

Also, I think there might be more millennials living at home than have ever before.

I agree Baby Boomers are old, not spending as much, and dying. What we see as dull, boring and stagnant, the young also will never watch.
