Re: Kirsten! Slow down please!

I grew up in NYC and was in the speech class for talking too fast. My sister, 2 years younger, was in the speech class for talking too slow. I've been in California many years - and speak slower.

If u watch the old shows on tv - you'll notice how slow they speak. Today, even the hosts on the news shows speak so fast --- I guess they have to get in all those boring commercials and previews of shows that are coming up. No wonder people are so manic.

I’m sorry your hearing is bad but I have worked around MRI’s for 8 years and my hearing is fine. Plugs or not, one MRI just isn’t going to do that to you.

Re: Kirsten! Slow down please!

Kirsten does talk very fast, barely taking a breath before getting her thought out.  I like her and while I am not fond of her speech habits, I will continure to enjoy her presentations.  I have lived in many countries and speech habits are so very different all over the world.  I have learned patience with so many things, speech habits being the least of them.

@Carmie

Mary Beth Roe has lived in PA for 30 years and she doesn't talk a mile a minute.

Re: Kirsten! Slow down please!

AND after she slows down, I wish she'd stop darting her eyes all over the place.  It's so unnerving.  Instead of looking at the camera or the person or product she's presenting, she is constantly looking to the left or right -- at a cameraman?  Who knows.  But, yikes, wonder why someone doesn't tell her to stop!
