I think it's interesting how we all view the presentations. Some would like to see a variety in the prop pictures, for me it's the scripted spiel. I think Jamie opens her shows with the "I work with plastic surgeons" every time (in the same fast, breathless delivery). What I can't figure out is what exactly the plastic surgeons contributed to her products. Jamie (to my knowledge) has never gone further with this idea to tell us what this collaboration provided to the end user. Less irritating, healing, masking, etc.??? That said, I use a variety of her IT cosmetics as well as Josie's cover stick (great product).

I think Josie dislikes repeating the same old story over and over again. I've seen her put it off for as long as possible until the host reminds her to tell it (probably because a producer is telling the host to do so).
I think she's adorable and I love her products.

I think she's just darling. I enjoy watching her. Think she does a good job of explaining and selling her products.

wonder if that's what caused her hair to go green and blue there for awhile

@SunValley wrote:My two cents: To me most of the vendors for cosmetics/skin care repeat themselves. They develop a script for their product(s) that they are comfortable with and stick with it. In addition to providing sales updates and presenting colors, I feel the hosts should converse with the vendors to help keep the sales pitch from becoming rote. This is true also with some of the clothing vendors who also seem to be on an autopilot description. Not everything is amazing, a must have, or major. The dialogue between host and vendor and the occasional phone callers helps to break up the memorized script. Some hosts are better than others at this. My only objection to Josie's presentations is that she starts to look greasy after reapplying products numerous times. She herself says a little goes a long way and then slathers it on and on until it looks unappealing.
I agree, and I think the memorized script is much more prevalent in the Beauty shows....I like Josie, but I agree too much just makes a greasy look and very unappealing if you are seeing it for the 1st time......I also agree that it is up to the hosts to try to get away from repeating the same things over and over, especially with the more frequent guests........
