Jewelry...where is it made?

I'm wondering why the descriptions for jewelry no longer tell you where they're made, it just says imported. I would like to know if it's Italy, Turkey, whatever!

I think they don't want to admit if it's made in China, otherwise what would be the big deal ?

I think if it just says "imported" you can figure out it was made in Asia.  If it was made in Europe, the USA or Canada or Mexico, they'd be happy to say so.

I've got the impression that only the jewelry that is made in Italy,Turkey, Peru or USA are listed in the decription. I think every thing else is coming from China or elsewhere. I want to know what country it is before I order. The fact that it is not mentioned bothers me.
