I bailed on that host long ago. Won't watch her, much less buy anything from QVC when she is on.
It's my only form of protest since QVC allows her to do that schtick and make up her own vocabulary.

No, if this happened in my workplace, you would get fired on the spot. You just can't talk like this in the workplace, not in today's world. This kind of behavior is part of what makes this person unlikeable to many. I don't think anyone can call this behavior professional.

I like that host but I've noticed she seems to be pushing the envelope more and more.
When Lisa Rinna was on with her last week, she carried on about how cute Lisa's butt was and how "juicy" it was and continued. It was very inappropriate and obviously nothing was said to her about it since she did it again this week with Dennis.

This is why I can only take Shawn and Albany in VERY small doses, if at all. They are very intense people and they give me anxiety just watching them say or do things when they're on TV. JRT is another one...
Some of the host behavior lately has been out of control. I think QVC allows it for the sake of shock value (attention) and/or sales.
I cannot wait for Jacque G. to come back!

@CoG wrote:This Monday evening, Dennis Basso was objectified on air. He wisely refused to "Come show us your butt" on air. How is this behavior acceptable? Had a male host commented repeatedly, stopping the forward progress of the entire program , " Denise Basso you have a cute butt" " come show us your butt" would there not have been an outcry of inappropriate, inexcusable, sexist behavior?
Since when is the vendor a "Cheeky Bugger" as Liam was called, on air, by the very same host?
Since when is "girly" a proper title for an established designer ? Examples of this condescending, belittling, inappropriate behavior abound. There has been no evidence of corrective action. Will the sensibilities of the viewer ever be considered in kind?
I agree, the Q should mandate classes for their hosts in appropriate on-camara behavior. Liam should have complained to management, the word Bugger (slang) is both Australian and from England as is one of the most crude, vulgar (and a horrible definition, please look it up if you don't know).... word you can use. If that particular segment was shown on either English or Australian TV, the host and the Q could be in trouble with that country's TV/Cable Oversight.
Unbelievable ignorance.... truly.

If Carolyn ever leaves Denim & Co. I'll be naked and afraid. LOL
Linda Davies, left Liz. Claiborne. Mary Beth is fine as long as she doesn't say "here's the deal" about 10 times during a presentation.

MBR may say "here's the thing..." 150 kabillion times (LOL because this is true) but I'll take that forever and a day over the out of control nonsense.

Yes, I saw this as well and thought the same. You never know how the vendor really feels about the comments. They might very well despise the remarks but are trying to remain gracious on air.
I'll say this though, if legal has gotten wind of this stuff they should put an end to it now. If there's ever a lawsuit in the future, they have already established a tolerance for allowing this behavior and doing nothing.

ANY workplace would fire someone for this kind of on-air unprofessional dialogue.... and what exactly was Dennis Basso to do on air, once this was said? walk off the stage? say something caustic and probably ruin his association with QVC?? Of course he looked like he found it funny.... ![]()

One of the rudest things I ever saw was Bob trying to trick Mary Beth into drinking alcohol beverage using the ninji. Woman has her religious values and was on to him trying to get her to sip some kind of concoction he had made up . She would smell it first and put it down and pick up a fruit drink.
It seemed to irk him that he couldn't trip her up.
I lost respect for him after that. David, would had never done something like that.
I'm not real big on the Q selling wine in first place.
