QVC has millions of viewers, but not so many QVC forum posters.

The comments on these boards are only capturing the options of a few.  And, of those posters on the boards, there are the same, even fewer people who keep up with the same complaints over and over again.

So, when you look at the complete picture, I doubt they take these complaints and suggestions seriously.

The comments on Facebook are very similiar to this forum.  It's not just this forum that has these complaints.

These forums may be a small percentage of viewers, but they provided a free avenue of feedback for corporate as to what people wanted - more variety, free shipping, calmer hosts.  Their Menopause Monday campaign was a joke.  They shot themselves in the foot a long time ago.

Although many ask for more on air product variety, particularly with TSVs, my view is that offerings will be even more narrow.

Management has shifted and consolidated total merchandising and purchasing for both HSN and QVC under one executive.   There was surely a reason for that.

Combined purchasing power with national brand manufacturers could result in even more frequent Shark, Dyson,  Clarks, Kitchen-aid, Skechers,  Barefoot Dreams, Vionic and so on as TSVs.

My thoughts of course.

Regarding the TSV assortment, I've always thought the TSV was a marketing offer paid for by the vendor (like selling ad space) and booked as ad revenue or a large(r) share of profit. That's why we see the same vendors over and over.

financials don't stand alone. Everything they do or don't do, sell or don't sell, affects the bottom line.

No financials don't stand alone but @Desertdi made a succinct and accurate post.

I don't think that most of the "suggestions" made here would have an impact or make a difference.

That vast majority, from what I read,  want the 1980s and 1990s to return.

That won't happen; QVC Group is moving in the opposite direction.

Can you imagine being a long time host, and then management comes to you and tells you that you have to dance on air?

Oh, to be a fly on the wall.

Or they tell you that you have to act like some young, hip influencer using lingo that no one over 25 years old understands.

Anyone over the age of say...45 that does that actually has the opposite effect.  It makes them look silly and embarrassing to me.
