@Stevie Nix So funny! Thanks for an authentic LOL!

It doesn't bother me at all. I think it just shows their enthusiasm for the product. Whether or not it's a sales tactic or a genuine desire to order the product doesn't interest me.

I do not believe it when hosts are asking someone to order something for them. Just how would the off air producer know the hosts credit card information or log in information to order something? It's a sales ploy to drive sales. And I don't buy for a minute that the hosts don't know exactly what they will be selling on air as they can easily see the samples as they have production meetings with the vendor before they appear on air.
The facial expressions when something sells out and the host says that they missed out is nothing more than cheesy bad acting, IMO.

I'm a bit surprised by the number of posts here saying they think it's a sales "tactic".
Whether a host likes something or not doesn't affect my decision one bit!

So many of them over the years have said they could not order until they were off the air so they had to take their chances with the savvy shoppers we are by getting the item during the presentation and not thinking about it. Which statement is true? Probably neither.

The hosts know what they are about to present before they go on air. The items are always up on the website before the show. If they wanted to order something, they could use their QVC app on their phones and place their orders in 10 seconds. I believe that they already ordered the items that they are saying they want to order. If they said "I ordered this," people would complain that they were getting special treatment, because they were ordering before the item was presented. It's just their way of saying that the item is so good that they want it too. It could either be a sales tactic, or they're just showing their enthusiasm for the product, Whatever it is, it seems silly to complain about it.

Some hosts will state emphatically that they want an item but have to wait until the show is done because they aren't supposed to order while hosting. Other hosts don't seem to have a problem ordering all the time. I'd like to know what the real deal is.

I heard Rachel say they are not permitted to order before the show. She admitted she did so just once as it was a birthday gift she wanted. It sounds like a cheesy ploy when the hosts go on and on about someone ordering for them.
And have you noticed how Shawn now orders one and two of almost everything she shows. Another silly ploy.

LOL, I have no idea what the truth of the matter is, but I would assume they would have the option to buy before the presentation even comes on.
Since I buy from the site and rarely watch a demo, it has little bearing on if I buy either.

Why can't viewers love a particular host? I don't think the callers get that much air time to describe it as childish and disgusting....IMO although I am often sad when I hear elderly woman claiming they bought every color, blah blah makes me worried for their finances, sometimes seems predatory....
It makes me "sad" too when I hear elderly women calling. I don't doubt they do "love" a particular host. But, it makes me think they're very lonely. And I do think they can easily be taken advantage of. I've seen the Hoarder shows and seen unopened boxes from the Q and HSN.
