I like that idea. Geez, with the constant never-ending threads on why the hosts drink, we'd be out of it all the time. And as soon as one of these many threads gets poofed someone starts another!  smh

Oh my.  Another "drinking on air" discussion.  I'm thinking I'll soon see the "Where's Shawn?" discussioin pop up next.

I LOL at your post! Yeah, the where's Shawn threads were all over the boards for some time. Only other one I'm waiting for someone to post AGAIN is the "what do you think of Harry's book?"

I've had two glasses of chardonnay myself tonight so truly I don't have any problems whatsoever with consuming alcohol. But I think the staged production of drinking wine on QVC with the big ole honking glasses is just so silly. I've disliked it from the start. And I will never feel that's it's an appropriate strategy on any level for a shopping channel to use just to try and sell more stuff.

And unless those glasses are plastic, the day will come when a host knocks one over and makes a huge mess with wine and glass flying all over the place. Cleanup and band-aids on the Fri-YAY set, STAT!

@sunshine45 - I'll drink to that!   Woman Very Happy

These threads about on-air drinking are just getting tiresome.  At least a drinking game would make it more fun.  Cheers!

This idea of shot drinking because hosts are using a sales tactic and not actually drinking or using nonalcohol or fake drinking!!  Drinking shots says volumes about posters who think hosts are actually getting drunk and apparantly are serial drinkers looking fosr an excuse to drink!!

@sunshine45 , Or, now hear me out, you could just scroll on by.

Or you could relax and stop pushing the boulder uphill. Not one host gets drunk or even slightly tipsy. Like most tv shows, it could be non-alcoholic wine or juice or tea. Even if it's real wine, I.don't.care. You can change the channel.
