@SeattleShopper1, If you're referring to the drop-down menu under your nickname when you're in the Community, I know exactly what you mean. The best thing is to look on the left side of most pages in the forums and below the list of "Blogs & Forums" you'll see "Quick Links," and under that is "Sign Out." I use that, now, instead of trying to use the "Sign Out" under my nickname.

Hello dooBdoo - Thank You!
This helps a great deal. One must be "additionally" Logged Into Blogs & Forums for this to work on my Surface Tablet - but that is OK. Have no trouble with my beloved but old-fashioned desktop computer. But the desktop is not available right now. There many things that work wonderfully on the QVC web site. But the drop downs are challenging on my tablet. Again, Thank You!

What new design?.. I would say disaster. I still miss the old format. And I miss the "ignore' button option. Breadcrumbs are not a option for me QVC.![]()

The drop down doesn't work for those of us using certain programs. It's our choice to use the programs we select and still expect a major retail website to be compatible. When it isn't, we, of course, adjust, but that doesn't mean we have to find the 'new' website to our liking.
What cell phones and other devices have to do with it is that increasingly websites are designed to be all things to all people. Instead of companies opting for separate websites accessible to various devices, they're trying to develop a single website as a one size fits all. More times than not, when they do so, a certain amount of functionality is lost for computer users. Some of us have an element of resentment, because websites initially were designed for computer use and we aren't shopping while standing in the aisle or the checkout line at the grocery store or driving down the road.

First of all, QVC never informed customers that a new website was being launched and that they may encounter difficulties. Even the airline industry had the courtesy to do that when they are preparing to change a website.
Second, what a ****** poor job of designing the website. I've been envolved in evaluating websites from the user perspective and this is really bad. Obviously QVC doesn't care about what the customer thinks or ease of use of the website or if the site is even logically laid out. If QVC management cared, it would have been beta tested by actual customers not the computer programmers. QVC, if you want to pay me, I'll tell you what is wrong and how to fix it. Hey you don't give your products away for free why should I give you advice for free. Anyway it should be obvious.
Third, I've been a customer for about 30 years, have always paid my bills on time. After figuring out how to use this lousy website and placing my ordrer message came up and stated that "my account is locked and to call 1-888-345-5788.
Fourth, QVC managemnt didn't even designate a special phone number for website issues so I had the pleasure of waiting on the phone for 5 minutes while repeatedly hearing that I could handle my problems by pressing a number for things like order status, return status, refunds etc.
Great way to treat your customers QVC management. Maybe you should focus on your own business and not be buying other shopping channels.

With all the hacking, has Q been made a secure site YET? I do keep getting the message moving from one screen to another that it’s NOT secure, sure I want to submit?
No, not sure at all....Who these days have an unsecure website?

@Northerngalwrote:HATE IT! Not everyone sits on their cell phone all day! Yes, I am one of those people who owns a laptop. I can't find certain categories, can't find the program schedule, and can't stand scrolling through pictures instead of having easy drop down boxes. This stinks.
me too!

Hear hear Joy G. Sure, a lot of companies came up with these tablet and mobile web designs. Not that I didn't read an article saying that tablets are becoming less popular - tho I am using one to write this.
But I don't usually SHOP on my tablet. I like to sit and leisurely browse. I like drop down lists and being able to see a lot at once. And I USED to often spend my lunch hour roaming through QVC. On a computer with a monitor and a mouse. I could slide from shoes to gardening to jewelry to clearance.
IMO no consumer website should have a learning curve. You should be able to get in and get out fast. There's other reasons my Q shopping dropped to almost zero but definitely the website was one of them. I'm only here at all because of the recent TSV that I got from catching on TV channel surfing (Kipling bag).
Yes, I can wade through this site when I have to. I just don't want to. This site has been up for a while now and I didn't like the switch when it was done and IMO it's still bad. They should have had a desktop site you could request. But if I am not a customer you care about OK, I just love Amazon anyway and sometimes my stuff gets to me in 24 hours.
