From geezerette...

It is my understanding that in order to view the "Games" topic (under "Menu"), you have to post a request.  Here in "Community Chat" there is a thread started by a QVC Administrator that is something like "Gamers: You Have A New Home".  Post a reply to that thread and within 24 hours it will allow you to see and participate in the "Games" forum.

As to 'autosave', it is an automatic feature (you don't do anything) in 'reply'.  When you are typing a reply, every so often it saves what you've written so that if you have a problem somewhere along the line in replying, when you go back to the 'reply' feature you can 'load' your response back in without having to type the whole thing all over again.

@dooBdoo...thx for the kind words and for adding helpful hints. We need all the help we can get since we aren't getting much communication from the people who SHOULD be doing this.

It looks like we can edit our original topic title/post.  I just did it on another of my threads (my dumping/testing ground thread LOL), and it worked.  IIRC, I went to the original/1st post I made, hit reply, and changed both the title of the topic and my original post.  Big WhoopDeeDo, I know.  LOL

Re: HELPFUL TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS...

[ Edited ]

@MacDUFF, You asked about this in another discussion and I thought it might be helpful to post it here (to sort of "anchor it") on your helpfulHeart thread, too.   The mods have offered their email address for questions/concerns on numerous threads.

I just did a quick search and found several.  Here's just one, from thread titled "Ok, I'm frustrated with too much messing around. I'll miss you guys!"

Thank you, dooBdoo.  But I'm afraid this news just pushed me over the edge.

Someone from the social team peeks out now and then on random threads with an email addy and offering a walk-thru, yet they don't put this info in all 4 welcome/get started threads?  They didn't post it after every question posted in their 2 questions threads?

Who got these posts from the "team"...how did they rate?

Doesn't it seem as if they used the community?  They tested it out on us (whether or not they did any testing before go-live, which I doubt)...used us to find the glitches...let us do the footwork...let us prep an instruction manual...let us do the heavy lifting.  Pacifying us with "ask your question" threads, which they ignored, and almost useless welcome/get started locked threads.

Did they sit around the drawing board and say:  Let's put the stress on the community...let them scramble to figure it out themselves hahahahaha...what could they have been thinking would be the outcome of this kind of rinky dink rollout??!

The 1st 24-48 hrs were a nightmare here, and they knew it...what did they do about it?  They let us flail around trying to figure it all out with as little info as possible.

To say that their lack of communication with us was weak, cowardly, and shameful would be an understatement.

I cleaned up this post and strained against my inclination to let them have it for this debacle.

Re: HELPFUL TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS...

I'm not sure if this has been posted on this thread, I didn't see it.  Several people have wanted to know how to get the date and time of posts instead of "20 minutes ago" etc.  Here's how to do that if anyone needs it:

Someone helped me out with this the other day. If you will go to Quick Links on left side of page, click on Edit My Preferences.  When you get there, click on Display.  Go part way down to where you see date formats... I selected the default which is mm-dd-yy. Below that you will see "Use Relative Dates" and a box... click to make sure there is no check mark in that box.  BE SURE to go to the bottom and click on SAVE.  Then go back to your thread, and your dates should show as  6- 8-2015 and the time.  I hope it works for you.

ETA:  I think when you leave the boards and come back a good while later, it has signed you out.  You may think those dates have changed back... you just have to sign in again to see them the way you set them.

Re: HELPFUL TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS...

Someone mentioned that when they went back to a thread, it showed somewhere how many new posts there were from the last time she opened a thread. Where is that?

Re: HELPFUL TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS...

Hi Himi...I know you probably meant to put this in the "ask your question and we'll ignore it thread," but just in case you were asking it here...

IDK...I can't remember if the answer is on this thread...maybe someone will see this and help.  For me, I have a major headache from doing the Q IT "team's" job...they don't pay me to think for them...and I'm almost miffed enough to go thru this thread and edit all of mine out.

But, in the interest of helping one of my favorite posters (with a great sense of humor)...

< sarcasm on > ...you could always email The Team, who would be happy to assist you in any way they can and will get back to you asap.  Let us know how the walk-thru goes!... < /sarcasm off >
