Re: Glass Burner Cover & Prep Board

Each time they are presented, I've been thinking (over and over again) how I wish that the pattern could be placed vertically instead of the way they are placed now.  I would be using them as burner covers (north to south), and would like the design to be placed north to south/up to down, instead of sideways.  Maybe include a couple of patterns that are placed this way.  That, or maybe a pattern/print that would look good being used as a vertical burner cover, as well as a horizontal tray.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Re: Glass Burner Cover & Prep Board

I bought the black marble about a year ago. I use it across two burners for extra "counter" space to set things on like utensils, lids, seasonings, etc, whatever needed close by while I'm cooking. I also use it on my table to hold hot dishes while serving meals to protect my table. I'm thinking of getting the pumpkin to use during the Fall months. They're also great for setting appetizers on for guests since there portable. Mine still looks new....

I have an electric stove which I've never used because I burn everything (that's another story).  So I purchased a pair of black marble looking burner covers.  I now have more counter space than I've ever dreamed of having in my small kitchen.  I got them from the Harriet Carter catalog.  I think they have a website too.

I bought black marble tiles pretty cheap to cover the grates on my gas stove.  It makes the whole cooktop perfect for serving drinks or food.  I can put crock pots on it, or take things out of the oven and set them on the tiles.

The next time they show them, there'll be different patterns.    I love the green one, Aqua something.  Unfortunately it would clash with my whole kitchen.
