Fabric Quality & Thickness

[ Edited ]

QVC designers need to know:
***Most of your clothing purchases are from 50+ aged clients with cellulite.
***We need tops and pants made thick enough to hide those lumps and bumps. (Pima Cotton, Modal, & Rayon show every lump).
***When we consider buying clothing for $50 and up, we expect very high quality.
***We have many other merchants to purchase from.
***Leopard print and Cammo print have been worked to death.

Re: Fabric Quality & Thickness

I notice a huge difference in the quality between the shirts I bought 3-4 years ago and the ones I've bought recently.  The winter shirts I bought this year were so thin, I had to wear undershirts to keep warm.  They should sell undershirts.

I completely understand why this has happened.  They're lowering quality to try to maintain a price point of $50 or less.  These are the shirts that used to sell for $39 or thereabout.  I'd personally would prefer to pay a little more for better quality.

In the meantime, I'm digging out and wearing my older clothing that isn't so revealing.

@AZAK I despise the thinner fabrics that they are using for tops. I need a bit of weight to a fabric.

When I see that the fabric is Modal or rayon I just skip it & that is the majority of the tops right now.

Re: Fabric Quality & Thickness

I think the pima that I've purchased is thicker and doesn't show lumps and bumps.

If you buy the correct size, then I don't see pima or most other thin fabrics being an issue.

My "clue" re fabric thickness/weight .....

If they can wiggle the clothes on the hanger and the fabric is "liquid" enough to swirl around the body when you walk ...

Then it is absolutely too flimsy for me.

I think fabric quality is an industry-wide problem.

@AZAK

Speak for yourself, LOL....I don't have cellulite!  I prefer Cotton Modal and Rayon and other blends.

You do realize these suggestions represent you and not all of us?

VERY high quality for $50 is a thing of the past.  Thinner & cheaper is the only way to hit that price point anymore!

I'm with @Kachina624 ....wearing my closet!

Speaking for MYself, I don't need anymore clothes anyways....so I can pass on these items offered now....both by QVC and OTHER merchants.

The quality elsewhere is NO better!

If you don't need any more clothes, I'm wondering why you're so fired up that someone else has an opinion about the fabric used for what they choose to buy.

Re: Fabric Quality & Thickness

@ALRATIBA I made that observation some time ago and a poster snapped

back at me......how can you tell the weight by looking at TV?

Thank you for making that point again  Perhaps poster will see this....I hope.
