Sorry but on air QVC is unwatchable and i suggest doing away with it and concentrate on better short video online only. Get rid of several hosts and hire professional product reps. Get rid of half hour repeat presentations all day long of one product. Buyers only need to see a really good short video to decide on buying. There are thousands of items online that now never see a studio and do not even have more than one photo. How can you buy that item? We need several photos or short video. We do not need fifteen minute on air presentations of a handbag. On air, if kept, should be new items only with time limits and no more all day beauty programs or all day food programs. How boring can you get?

@Gabidog Include me as one of the ones who likes watching on a large television screen. And I enjoy the presentations by hosts and vendors.

I happen to enjoy some of the programming although I don't spend my entire days watching. If it were to go off the air, I doubt that I'd shop on QVC with all the other choices. I find that I can at least see some details that I don't get to see on other online retailers. I do find it beneficial to get to see the fashions actually on a body.

I prefer the on air presentations. I get a much better, more realistic view of the product. Much better than from a video on a computer screen or a photo in a catalog. It's as close to seeing the product in person as I can get without actually being able to see and feel it in person. I still think that is QVC's strength as a retailer. And please don't say check online. Often the online descriptions don't have any more information than on air.
If they actually describe the product, that is.
For me, that's more of the problem than anything else with the current presentations. I could even stand all the silliness if they took time to describe and show the products, like they used to years ago. Right now I feel they're squandering their strength.
But in all fairness, lately I've found that QVC is not the only retailer to be short on product descriptions. It seems like more and more places have a "take our word for how wonderful this is" attitude than trying to give the customer as concise a product description as possible.

@Gabidog - nothing like rooting for people to lose their jobs.....

I don't watch as much QVC as I used to, but I still prefer to see an online presentation of something that I might be interested in. I don't think I would purchase much if they were to go off air completely..
I think a good presentation of a product goes a long way!

@wifey2qt That was my first thought. Not to mention, if it's that upsetting to her then why watch at all? I enjoy most of the hosts and their rapport with the vendors. It sets QVC apart, which is the objective after all.

I too like watching QVC. Because you dont why do you think they should end it just for you?

@Carolina925 and on a real body instead of it being computer-generated. That's all you see for clothing on Amazon. It's all computer-generated, and those bodies are far from real.
