I am hoping Cook's Essentials will come out with a new 4 Qt. Pressure Cooker.  The last one had such poor reviews, almost unanimously, that it did not seem worth buying.  The 6 and 8 Qt. ones are too big.  Will we be seeing an improved version of the 4Qt. model?

@rose123, if you do not want to wait for an improved Cook's Essentials 4 qt. pressure cooker check out the Elite Bistro 4 qt at HSN (item # 538-845).  I've had mine for over a year and use it several times a week.  Very happy with it.

Marp, thank you for the great suggestion!  The HSN model looks like a good choice, and the product reviews on it are good.  I'm glad to see that you have been so happy with yours.

Just black interior items just don't hold up and I've had several cook essential interiors bubble up and peel afer just a few uses. I called q.v.c. and they replaced one for me, but it happened again so I called the actual company and they sent me a replacement bowl which they usually charge $40.00 dollars for but I was so upset and told them that I paid just about $20.00 more for the whole thing so they sent me a new bowl for the pressure after I sent a picture of what it did. But I pray it holds up because it's easy to use, I am just sick of inferior products still being sold on the Q. and else where. Just not right we could be eating that stuff that peels off, and we probably are.

I actually LOVE my 4-quart CE pressure cooker and so does my sister, to whom I gifted one for Christmas. I've been watching anxiously for it to return because I have other friends and relatives who also really want this size. I hope it comes back soon, either in its previous form or an improved one--despite the hot temps of late, fall is coming... <
