I buy some Christmas decorations during the Christmas in July shows.  The prices are lower, and there are more choices.

People who want the best selection of decor merchandise for the season know this is the time to watch and buy.  Every year, we have the  "I will never buy Christmas things in the middle of summer" crowd come back in late November crying about the lack of interesting Christmas items. IT is what it is, the selection and great pricing are in July, so that is when it will be snatched up.

Most of the CIJ shopping isn't about the gifts you will be giving, but the things you will be decorating with, wrapping with, cooking with. Sure, some gifting too, but if you really know the people you are buying for, you know exactly what they will love, and you know it in July as well as you will know it in December.

Nothing ABSURD about it.

I'm not sure i'd use 'absurd' but I am with you.

Why always live in the future?  We haven't even enjoyed spring yet.  Today is a wonderful day and I plan to enjoy it.  I don't watch any Christmas sales shows until Thanksgiving.  Besides, I haven't seen a truly new holiday product from Q in a decade.

Someone on a Christmas board posted July 1st....QVC will kick off Christmas in July.  It will start with Valerie.  The entire day will be Christmas in July.   I can not say this sure.  I can only say, I read it.  I am hoping it is true.

It is very easy just to check the Program Guide yourself.

Saturday, July 1st

Sunday, July 2nd

Friday, July 14th

Saturday, July 15th

Sunday, July 16th

Something very troubling is that they're calling it the "30th Annual Christmas in July Sale" when it is in fact the 31st annual event.

My sister & I are adults with our own homes, but we always go to Mom's for the CIJ weekend.  We stay up late & wake up early to catch as much as possible.  (Mom sleeps a little more than we do, but she says it makes her happy just to hear us giggling together like we did when we were small .)  We cook a little, but we mostly bring in party foods & bakery desserts so we can devote our energy to shopping.  Even one of the neighbors spends some time with us!  We always find things we "need", but even if we didn't we would have fun just being together & dreaming of the holidays before all the madness & stress.  Thanks, QVC, for providing a fun opportunity for us to make some extra holiday family memories.

This is sooo neat!  I'm so glad you can have some Mom/daughter/sister time together.  Sounds like great fun even if you don't buy anything Smiley Happy !

I love Christmas in July shows. LOL

Saves me a fortune! My credit card gets a rest and I'm not checking delivery status all the time.

All us girls need some down time.
