COLOR OF THE PRINT ON HERE.......PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE

GET RID OF THIS HORRIBLE GREY........

Some of us do have eye problems and the grey is very difficult to read.  We need the black back......Black is good.......

ITA with you. The color of these pages irritates my eyes badly. On the opening forum page, the Q highlights a few threads with the color blue, & that looks soooooo much better!

I haven't been on the forums hardly at all since the change- it hurts my eyes & my head.

I completely agree!!!  I also have eye issues, and reading these pages is really difficult for me..  The bright white background is harsh on my eyes, and the print is a big problem.  I  suspect that there is a great number of "over 40's" here, and eyes do not always work perfectly. So please consider us and do something about the bleak appearance of this board.  And thanks in advance!

One more thing  -  Can you please start the size of the fonts at  2 instead of the smaller print. Some things are almost impossible to read.  Space shouldn't be a problem.

I just know that this new board isn't working for me, I'm not sure what it is exactly, but the way it was , was good. I'm just talking about posting, and reading. All the other improvements made are OK, just not the way to use it.

Grey on grey isn't a good choice. I prefer higher contrast fonts, too.

The default print is terrible. It should be at least one size bigger and have more contrast with the background.  I know we can change our font but that only works for each post.  And our settings only work if we're signed in.  QVC needs to change the default.

I like the darker background. The white was making my eyes hurt. A colored darker font, also larger font might help make the reading easier. I just changed my font to xtra large. That's helping.

Off topic a bit here (sorry-)

Why can't we permanently keep our font, size and ink color settings, in other words how we CHOOSE to have our messages appear?

I agree, the display is extremely hard on the eyes and I'm one of the people who can't read here as often because of eye strain and migraine triggers from this new non-ergonomic display.

I wanted to post 2 ways to try and work around the problem.  It's not a perfect fix, but it might help.

There are other options for various devices (usually in their "Settings," and you can adjust the text that you see on your tablet, phone, etc.), but these 2 are usually helpful overall without knowing anyone's specific device.

~~~~~~
1 -- To increase the overall size of the text you see on the forums (this only is in effect when you’re signed in since it’s a personal preference setting):
Go to “My Settings,” under “Preferences.”
Under “Preference Options,” choose “Display.”
Scroll down to “Text Size” and check the box for the size you’d like to try.
Be sure to scroll down and click “SAVE.”
You can change this back and forth to see which size you prefer.
~~~~~~

2 -- To increase the overall size of the text you see, whether you’re logged in or not:

There are several ways to do what's called "zoom in" or "zoom out" on a computer.

For example, on a PC you can press the CTRL key and the "-" (dash or minus) keys simultaneously to zoom out (make the display smaller), or press the CTRL and the "+" to zoom in (display is larger).

For Apple keyboards, it's the Command key and the "-" or "+" keys pressed at the same time to zoom out or in.

(There are other variations depending upon the device/keyboard/mouse/trackball.)

You also can do this with your browser.  Just look at the toolbar and, usually under a heading like “View,” you’ll see “Zoom” options.

~~~~~~
hth!
Re: COLOR OF THE PRINT ON HERE.......PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE
Get rid of the whole design of the "new" QVC webpage.  Not only is the design not pleaseing to the eye but is very childish looking.  Color scheme is horrible, hard on the eyes and annoying.  I thought the whole idea of a good web design was to gain the attention of the user....get them excited so they want to know more about the product being offered.  The QVC website is very UNINSPIRING.and does not make me want to buy.  I also don't like the way you have to "search" for things......its like they are trying to hide their products instead of endorse them.   QVC please get a new web designer.  I wish they would also put on the main page not only what is "currently being shown on TV" but what is showcased in the entire hour so you can look ahead and see what is going to be offered
