When products that state that they minimize or get rid of fine flines and wrinkles etc,it's obvious the before photo is zoomed in more than the after photo, so of course the wrinkles appear minimized. Also sometimes the persons hair is styled nicer or they have lipstick on or something, making the photo more aesthetically improved. It should be exactly the same for before and after. This is fraudulent. I've wasted a lot of money buying products for the face and body that make claims that they improve the skin when they really don't.

Thosecphotos are a huge joke as far as I'm concerned. I intently study them and rarely see any difference or a difference so imperceptible no one would ever notice. Cosmetic products do not remove wrinkles; they can only soften skin temporarily but this seems to do little to reduce the signs of aging. With women, hope springs eternal and many of us are only too willing to believe these products will return them to a youthful state.

Yes it is very obvious to me. Others must not see it though.

I totally agree. I don't see much difference at all.
You know as many beauty products sold and with everyone buying all of this stuff (myself included) we should all look amazing. Sure?!!
I just use Dr Denese as does my daughter. I guess it works because people say I don't look 73. It won't be long and I'll be 74.
I just wish I'd taken better care of the rest of my body. It's all gone to (the bad place).

And worse, or funnier still, sometimes without looking at the captions, I think the befores look better than the afters!

Or the trick of having the "after" girl smile a little. That always brings up the marionette lines. They make sure to block out the rest of the face so it's not so obvious that she's in a small smile.

What really annoys me are all the smart phone filters: I earned my "life stripes" (lines) and I'm proud, not ashamed!

I think people see what they want to see and waste a lot of money on something that doesn't work.

@catlovercb I often can't see much difference, but I doubt what they say is fraudlent. I hear virtually every presentation include the words "minimizes the APPEARANCE of wrinkles." That doesn't mean it actually improves the skin.
I can see the difference in my own appearance when I use my moisturizer, but that doesn't mean my lines and wrinkles are gone. They require moisture once again a few hours later!

Well, before and after photos have never made me decide to buy a product or not. So, if I've wasted money on products that don't work as I had hoped, that's on me. No one is holding me to ransom and forcing me to buy.
I have found that Peter Thomas Roth products work well for me personally.
I sometimes think people expect miracles in a week. My sister-in-law was a great one for thinking that a cream could reverse in a week or a month, the decades of damage that smoking did to her skin and no amount of reasoning could convince her otherwise.
So every time a product didn't produce those results she felt ripped off. And she never stuck with anything long enough to see actual results; just kept hopping from one product to another.
