@Susan345  Can certainly agree with you regarding the apps!  I have 3 that are related to diabetes, cpap, and hearing aids.

That being said, my BF (who only has 1/4 of his pancreas left) has an app that connects his insulin pump to his glucose reading device. Kinda high tech and only works on certain android devices right now.....but it's a lifesaver.   He forgot his phone at work the other day and we had to drive back to get it.

I use several plug in products like a heating pad and several hair tools.  I don't have a problem with them in, but I enjoy using battery operated items too.  It just depends on what I am using and where I am using it.  Our pasture barns are well lit and all from battery lighting.  But we also have a small portable gas generator for items/tools that need a plug in.  One of our vets used a plug in drill to float our horses teeth, so the generator worked well for him.  Some people like us might really need both options.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

Most of the time the battery operated item needs to be plugged in to recharge.  And run time is limited.

My biggest pet peeve are things that require a smart phone and an app.  Call me old fashioned but phones are for talking.

I totally agree with you about the phones.  I don't use a cell phone and am tired of people questioning my choice of not having one.  I still have a land line and am not sorry for it.

This made me laugh. A couple of years ago my niece's young son asked her if they made phones without screens.

Seems like I spend a lot of time making sure everything is charged!

Convenient, but a PIA also!

Almost all of my outdoor tools run on batteries - hedge trimmer, reciprocal saw, leaf blower, weedeater, etc. I really like having batteries.  I'm going to need a new mower soon and plan to get a battery one.

That said, I don't have a place to plug in a battery vacuum so I haven't considered that yet. Maybe someday.
