I never thought I would see the day when the clothing on QVC would be more pricey  than higher-end brick and mortar stores; and since when does D&C, Sport Savvy, and Anybody, all house brands, become as pricey as Susan, Lori, and Issac, all bonafide designers?

@Daffney.  Why should QVC's house brands be cheaper than others?  They're all the same quality, possibly made by the same or similar manufacturers.  We don't know who they are but be assured they are designed by professional designers.

I do not know where you live or shop, but on the whole QVC is not more expensive than high end department stores. Some brands are the same price as those brands sell also in the department stores. Prices everywhere are high. Get used to it, they are not jcoming down any time soon.

Re: Pricing Of Clothing

[ Edited ]

Plenty of places to shop for reasonably priced clothing, e.g., Blair, Macys, Lands End and even HSN with their excellent sales.  QVC is NOT one of them.

I think the only "bona fide" designers on QVC are Isaac,  Basso and Stan Herman.

As I recall, it was SG's mother-in-law, Audrey, who was the "designer."

Is it a brand name, i.e. Democracy? I saw an add for Fashion Brands for $40.80-$46.80 sale  but it stated Save 40% with Kroger Card.  Also, women's extended Angels for $26.40-$33.60 on sale. I saw Dip Activewear shorts for $18.00.

@elated     I didn't pay much attention to the "brand".    I buy 80% of my clothing at Ross...       di

I have no real problem with QVC clothing prices, except usually when items are first introduced--then they may be at their highest price.  I just wait a few months or until the seasons change, and then, most of the time the prices drop drastically.

I shop in department stores like Macy's, Bloomies, Saks, NM, etc., and some of those prices are sky-high!  Yes, they will also have great sales when the seasons change. BTW, designer names do not always guarantee better quality, design, or construction, which is what I always look for.

The other day I ordered the Big Deal Berkshire bathrobe for $29.00--I thought the price was fantastic, and the color choices were great.

Well, I originally started shopping at QVC for gold jewelry, and I am sorry to say, the prices are now just about unaffordable, especially for impulse purchases.

Luckliy over the years I have amassed a great jewelry and clothes collection, thanks partially to QVC!!

I do agree that there are other places to shop with more affordable prices. The problem with waiting for QVC to put items on clearance, or waiting for seasons to change, is that sizes are very limited then. If you are in the market for very small or very large sizes, you're in luck. More often than not, that is not the case.

I have wasted countless hours scrolling through items that were not available in a size I could wear.

I haven't bought clothing from Q in more than a decade. I don't wear polyester (aka plastic bags to me) or high poly blends. I don't wear a ton of spandex. The prints are usually too gawdy. Poly and spandex are cheap.

I can find everything I want, including no iron cotton, elsewhere for less money than Q charges AND without shipping costs. My favorite retailers offer free returns or local returns.
