Long time viewers may remember that a few years ago QVC aired several programs of all American made products. They were great, something for everyone. It would be wonderful to see this type of program return to the air again. I'm so tired of poor quality foreign made products and clothing and refuse to buy them. We have talented craftsmen, artists, designers and inventors in this wonderful country of ours. We should promote and show pride in the outstanding work they do. I also recall that almost every item presented was sold out. Great for our economy and a way to promote good American craftmanship.

I hope you drive an American-made automobile....................

I agree with you except that "foreign made" does not always mean "poor quality." If it did, imported items would not be successful.

I like to buy American whenever possible. However, manufacturing in the U.S. has become very costly, especially in apparel. If we manufactured more here, then the prices would go up, and people already complain about high prices. To keep the prices down, then quality would suffer and we would hear complaints about that. I don't know if there's a viable solution. Also, as a previous poster said, foreign made does not equal inferior quality. It depends on the quality and caliber of the factory employed by the manufacturer. But then again, you'll get higher prices for quality, foreign or domestic,

Some American cars are manufactured in other countries, some foreign cars are manufactured in the USA.

Yes, we have those talented people but what we don't have are manufacturers. I don't find that imported goods are particularly poor quality. There has been plenty of krap made in America too. For years in the 1960s to 1980s, I wouldn't buy an American-made car because they were inferior to European-made.

I would like to see more American made products. I remember when items we bought were built to last years....not just a couple of years. I'm specifically talking about appliances.

I would prefer to buy American, if it were easier to do. Presenting clothing (or other items) that had been made in America would impress me and motivate me to buy a piece.
And I
my Toyota...my made in the USA Toyota!

I would love to buy American made, but it has been overrun by imports, and I guess we can't do much about it.
