Looks like QVC is evolving a bit.  BTW, I have Apple TV, and it's awesome!  Especially if you have an iPad.  Can't see me using it to shop QVC, though, because it's virtually one click already with my iPhone app.

I can't recall when was the last time I was in a department store......maybe five years ago.  I shop online because it is easy and convenient for me.

QVC and Amazon are my main online shopping now and I rarely watch Q.  I won't watch Amazon either.  I will continue to shop at both.

I like to shop by TV, seeing and hearing about the product. I really love HSN feature by ordering on Remote. Now that's convenience for TV watchers.

Amazon is not going to compete as far as clothing, shoes, handbags - anything that is enough "higher end" or "exclusive" that the manufacturer or designer does not WANT to be sold on Amazon.  So QVC and HSN, Evine, etc. will still have a market.  It remains to be seen what they do and how they do it. I think they would do brilliantly and wipe out the competition for some types of items, but not for everything.
