I read that Colt McCoy will be the starting QB for Washington. Keenum still is injured, and Haskins probably wouldn't be ready to face NE.
The Cowboys have an advantage Sunday since the Packers' Davante Adams won't play. Adams has been Rodgers go-to guy, so he will most likely be missed. The Packers have other players to replace him, but adjustments will have to made. Rodgers might be OK, although he can't do everything by himself.
Sorry to hear about all the Colt injuries.....
Poor Colt....he gets a chance to start for my Redskins , and who does he get to go up against....Beli and the Patriots.....
I really liked Colt coming out of college, but he, like many college quarterbacks, ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time. There's a short window in which to build a kid into a pro quarterback and the kid needs consistency in that window. He needs to be in the same system, with the same coaches, and surrounded by quality playmakers. He needs consistency and if he gets it, the most unlikely guys can become top tier pros. A top prospect (like a Colt McCoy was) can become roadkill if they don't get that support.

The Browns ruined McCoy.....he was sent to a place where QBs went to end their career (before the new staff took control)......And then Colt's various injuries, the guy couldnt catch a break (pardon the pun) ....I think all along Colts was the QB Jay Gruden wanted to run his offense....too little, too late Im afraid....
He's well respected around these parts....people still view him as a Texas Longhorn.....

Watching the pre-game shows and its amazing no one ever mentions the Patriots easy division and their easy schedule this year......the woman just said her computer projections predict that the Patriots will be the only undefeated team late in the season....GEE, I WONDER WHY!!!! 🙄

Yeah, the most important thing for a young QB is to end up in the right situation. Look at Tom Brady. He was a sixth-round pick who didn't look very impressive coming out of college. He's now one of the best to ever play the game.
Physically playing QB in the NFL isn't that much different than playing the position in college. It's the mental part where kids get destroyed. It takes three years or more to fully learn an NFL offense. If that offense changes during that period it screws up the kid. Josh McCown has played in the league eighteen years under eighteen different systems. If he'd landed in one place with one system and stayed there his whole career, he'd have likely been a Hall of Fame level QB. He's danged good at what he does, but he's been in so many systems that he's never had the chance to fully learn that it destroyed his chance for early success. That experience though now makes him a valuable backup as he's been everywhere and seen everything.
If you're bringing in a kid QB, you better make sure your system is set up to optimize that kid's chances of success. The Eagles are now working on building Kyle Lauletta into an NFL QB after his stint with the Giants. If they can keep him around for two or three years in the system with good coaching, he'll have a great chance at success.

Sadly look at Haskins and the mess he's wound up in.....
If Minshew continues to succeed.....poor Foles when he's healthy he will end up as a back up yet again....with yet another team next season....

Yeah, not ideal for Haskins. Josh Rosen, Mariota, Jameis Winston, Sam Darnold, and lots of young guys land in the wrong place at the wrong time. You pretty much want to set up a training program for young QB's that's built on stability and consistency.

i was wondering how they got such a schedule this year also @Spurt ?
i also wonder why they never consider shaking up the divisions a little for breath of fresh air?

Yep, a training program kinda like the NBA does with their G League....where young guys are given a chance to develop and become good players.....Its funny how the NBA seems to be more innovative than the NFL....
