Dooney and Bourke A239419 what is your feelings on this bag as ....can it be used as an all seasons bag? Or do you feel it is a winter item. I love this bag and ordered it as ...."as is." saved close to a hundred dollars. The bag came in mint condition, all hardware still wrapped etc. I believe it was $124. I see where it is selling for $198. I love it but am having questions about whether I can carry this bag in the summer. I kind of want to use this as my everyday carry all bag. Comments are appreciated. Thanks for your time.....Ima

Beautiful bag! Congrats on scoring a pristine "as is" bag!

My opinion, I see this mostly as a fabulous fall and winter (cold weather) bag.

You didn't mention what color you got. If you were wearing those colors I imagine it would be lovely. I just don't see it with pastels or summery bright colors, ya know the capri and sandal look. But that's just me. Any excuse to buy another purse. {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Enjoy!!!!

I have it in the black version, though I think black is a misnomer, as there are lots of other colors in the bag. Generally, I think plaids are more for fall or winter but I'd have absolutely no problem carrying the black (which has lots of green and yellow running throughout the pattern) year around. The red, for me anyway, would be a bit more of a stretch, but I could see carrying it year around if it works for you.

You can wear this handbag all year long. I think it depends upon how you dress. If you wear jeans with a white shirt or T in the summer, either the red or blue would be great looking. If you wear pinks and lavenders and aquas, or summer prints, maybe the bag would look a little out of place. But if you wear beige, white, yellow the plaid would be very sharp looking. Wear what you like.

Thanks girls I appreciate the opinions. I got the black, and yes I am a jeans and shirt gal. I wear a lot of solid colored t-shirts, so maybe this will work. I love the bag it holds lots and has a nice wide opening. It holds it's shape and you can find things in it. It's not like a soft hobo where everything ends up in the middle., more satchel. Price was assume for an "as is" you would never know, it was still wrapped as if new. I really believe no one had this bag or it was returned without trying it out. Anyway it was worth it. Thanks again.....Ima

Ima, I love this bag too and find the 'black' is actually very flexible. Glad you got a good one. Enjoy!

imaklutz: one more thought..... as long as the colors in the bag work with your outfit, it will look great any time of the year. Plaid has lots of colors to work with or stick to neutrals in your clothing and it will look fine. Don't mix plaid with prints. Luv your nickname. Enjoy your new handbag. It was a great buy.

I carried my black version of this bag just a few weeks ago and still love it. Light weight and a great size satchel.

I've never lived in a state with real seasons, so I don't buy into any of the ideas about certain colors or patterns being for different seasons. Wear or carry whatever you want whenever you want, so long as you're not too hot or too cold. I won't judge and neither should anyone else.
