Are these bags good quality leather? IS the leather soft? Thank you!

Yes and Yes. I have several orYANYs and LOVE them all. My favorites are the Jasmine Hobo (A228500):

and the Candice Satchel (A239455):

Hope this helps!

The leather is dreamy, but the linings are a very busy pattern. Also some of the hardware has had issues. But I love them.

I just received the Jasmine, but there is something I don't like about it (I just wrote a review). IMO the zipper zips in the wrong direction. As you can see this bag has a very large zipper due to the big smile shape of the bag. Unfortunately the zipper pull is behind you when it is closed, making it hard to quickly grab something from your bag. Had it zipped closed with the zipper pull in the front, it would be much easier to slide the zipper open and access the contents of your bag.

Awhile ago the Victoria was a TSV, and the rings that hold the long shoulder strap on were held together with little tiny screws. These little screws would fall out, lost forever, and the shoulder strap would no longer be useable. There are some old threads about it, and since that time Oryany has changed that ring to one that opens like a dog leash (for lack of a better description), but the little screws are still in there. Read back through the reviews and you will see.

I believe the Sydney had a few problems, too. I have the 2nd version of the Victoria, and when I got it I put a tiny amount of super glue on each little screw, and then a tiny piece of Gorilla tape. If my bag gives out, it won't be the screws that fail. Wink And clearly that didn't stop me from buying it. I just wish they would change the lining to a light, solid color.

The leather is sumptuous, but I have to agree, I don't care for their lining, especially the new rather bilious green and blue lining that often seems to clash with the exterior of the bag.

After returning 3 purses that all lost their sc rews, I decided it was time to call it quits on these purses.

I have over 10 and I think they are very well made and the leather is the best. I have over 80 Dooney and Bourke's and I think Oryany is definitely a worthy competitor. You just need to like the Oryany styles and the color-blocking.
