How do you find anything in a large hobo bag .... do you use an organizer as you do in the Romas, I wouldn't think so because of it's shape .... but it becomes a bottomless pit ..... I guess I'm used to handbags with pockets and places for everything, easy to find ..... do you just throw everything into your hobo bag?

With my hobo's I have to use an organizer. I hate not being able to find things and the bottomless pit. The organizers help a lot.

A lot of people use various makeup bag/cases etc to keep everything in. But then you have to remember what case you put what in lol there are soft organizers available... try go ogling "chameleon organizers" or look on you tube... she has a video that reviews all of the chameleon organizers. She has all shapes and sizes, structured and soft and some are on sale right now for as low as $8!

I love hobos and totes for the same reason. I like to have the room to put anything in the bag I need without trying to squeeze it in. When I use smaller bags, I always have to remove one thing to get to another which I found impractical. As long as I have a cellphone pocket, and the other small pocket for my keys, the bottom holds a makeup bag and all my eyeglasses and a large wallet. The pocket on the other side would hold items I don't need to access all the time. Plus there is always room to hold smaller shopping bags so that I don't have to carry them all around the stores. Never needed an organizer.

I avoid hobos for this reason. I'd have no patience with those organizer things.

Putting an organizer in a hobo loses the slouchy, puddling look that makes a hobo what it is. I like a hobo because I like the way it doesn't stick out away from my body when I carry it and I don't have the patience to try and remember which pocket or compartment something is supposed to be in, whether I'm taking out or putting in. I like an outside pocket for my phone, and an inside zippered pocket, then generally everything else goes inside. I don't buy bags with multi-compartments or structured bags.

Glad we can choose what works best for us.

I think it depends on the design of the hobo. I recently purchased a Prix de Dressage hobo from ShopHQ. It is relatively structured and doesn't need an organizer. I normally carry a long wallet and cosmetic bag along with keys, phone, pen, etc. It is not a black hole as many hobos are. If the bag is large and slouchier, I think an organizer might be needed.
