My favorite Dooney of all time - well actually I have two. The All Weather Crescent Satchel, and
the Mary Bag!
Stella: I remember those handbags. I know that I have the Crescent tote somewhere in my closet. Thanks for reminding me to dig it out. Great handbag. And lots of Dooney collectors loved the Miss Mary bag too. I forget how it got that name. 
I don't have a favorite and carry whichever is most suitable for the day. Crossbody for when I need to go shopping or travel, totes for a day trip, etc.
Right now I'm carrying this one a lot because the crossbody strap is good for shopping and it was great for a trip where I walked a lot and had to take the metro. It held what I needed without being heavy and stayed close for security.
While I have a lot of Dooney & Bourke handbags and this question should be difficult, I can easily say that my very favorite is the D&B Tan Ostrich Large Nina and the accompanying D&B Tan Ostrich checkbook organizer wallet and D&B Tan Ostrich wristlet. I loved it so much that I bought a second D&B Tan Ostrich Large Nina just in case something happened to the first one. So far, the first one is doing just fine and getting better with age. It's BEAUTIFUL!! 
You can never go wrong with pink! 70% of my bags are some shade of pink lolI am going with Small Florentine Satchel in pink. I also love the new zip/zip croco in pink. Yes, I am a pink girl.

Stella: I have the Crescent tote in 3 colors: blue, purple, and red. Like you, if I like a handbag, then I buy it in multiple colors. I'd have a lot more room in my closet if I didn't keep doing that. 
Maybe that's why I can't find my Crescent totes... they have been pushed so far back in the closet they never see daylight anymore.

That bag is beautiful. If I carried hobo bags, I would definitely have bought that one. I'm glad you love it.
